Yesterday I ran 16km or just over so achieved my 10 mile run target. I did the same loop as last week as found a loop quite good for keeping me going! I managed to keep going a bit more up the hills. I took Bob our collie as it was his 2nd birthday, but he wasn't too keen on the motorbikes on the main road. 3 went past together and lots of fast cars. No paths so lots of jumping in hedge! Thank goodness it's only short sections of main road, the rest being quiet country lanes. Bob completed 10 miles then still felt like bouncing around playing frisby with my son when we got back...while I creaked around worn out!!! Feeling much more confident of reaching a half marathon distance, which is something that seemed very unachievable a few months ago!

Reached 10 miles target!
Well done!! Fantastic achievement. π
Very well done. Bob must have loved that long run and no, you can never tire out a CollieπΆπΆ
Forgot to ask, are you doing your half marathon at the end of this month, virtually, with the group??
Yes! Are you?
Yes, doing it on the 23rd as my friend is away from the 25th and happier to do it with company than on my own. Might make it slightly faster running with her.
Oh lucky you! I'll be on my own....well unless I decide to take Bob again! Good luck!
Me too
I was thinking about this yesterday....its funny to be doing such a big thing alone but at the same time you don't feel alone with everyone on here doing it too!
Fantastic! Well done ππ»π
Well done CLR! Amazing distance, and what a lovely photo of handsome Bob! Itβs great running with a canine companion isnβt it? πΎπββοΈπ₯°.
Donβt forget to ask for your lovely shiny 10 mile badge! π₯°π
Yes... I think he helped me up some hills! But he nearly tripped me up when a drain spooked him then my trainers scoffing as I put brakes on made him jump again π poor dog!!
Aww bless him! π Flossie will be running with me on my upcoming HMs. Sheβs a 9 year old Lab, and even though sheβs really lean and fit, Labs arenβt designed for long distance running, so sheβll be free to snuffle and sniff around. Bob could probably run a marathon with you! β€οΈ
How many half marathons are you doing?? Well done for having a lean and fit lab!! They're not easy to keep lean! I used to have lab retriever cross. I let Bob off the lead where I could see no traffic coming on lanes but otherwise he stays on.
Iβm doing 2, two weeks apart! Virtual Bath Half next Sunday and the HUHM on the 28th. Bath prefer that we run on the weekend that the actual race was to be held, otherwise Iβd have combined them. π Iβm doing both on the local common, so very safe to let Flossie run free. π
Sheβs is a little working lab, only about 21.5kg, and believe it or not sheβs not foody at all! Our previous ones used to eat literally anything. ππ³
Fabulous! Congratulations. Have a well deserved 10 mile badge!!!
Brilliant! very well doneπ and to Bob too ππΎ (Collies never stop do they? π)
Congratulation, it's a great achievement. Love your running buddy. Our 10.5 year old lab prefers a walk and a sniff. πππ
