Back on the trails again

[Decker]

The weather here has been slowly warming up and the trails are safer to run, albeit quite squelchy at times. I even lost a shoe to the mud a couple of weeks back 😂. Lots of wildlife emerging too. My last few runs featured foxes, a red tail hawk, rabbits, racoons, geese, skunks and a pair of coyotes. I was not fast enough to get decent pics of any of them, so these are some of the more “static” sights along the way including my sad sinking shoe 😊. Happy running all!

😍TRAILS!!!!! Yippee!!!!!!😍 I am itching to get back to trail running as well! I’ve decided to go a different way this year and volunteered to be the 20k trail sweeper for my local trail race in the fall. It will be a great excuse to spend a lot of time on the trails and no pressure to be fast. I will need to carry a pack with first aid gear so that will add a new twist to my training. Here’s hoping it helps me find something interesting to post again instead of just lurking lurking 👀😆

Oh that’s a great idea! You’d see the race from a totally different perspective. And no pressure really would be nice. So far I am loving it. Going out tomorrow morn again!

Oh no 😳. I’d have jumped in after it! Or run in odd shoes thereafter 😂

My sis was telling me yesterday that she dropped her newly-opened £800 spectacles from a ship into the frigid sea off Norway (She has a really specific prescription) She was inconsolable at their loss 😰. Divers were called up! Specs Retrieved in under one hour. £140 😁. She couldn’t believe it 🤗🤗🤗🤓

You’d have to summon bog snorklers Decks 😁

No bog snorkelers needed! Thankfully the loss was temporary. Though it was a comical balancing act trying to pull the shoe out of the squelchy stuff 😅.

Oh that is a pricey loss for your sis! Divers!? Wow!

Great to see you're out on the trails Decker.

Over here it was warming up nicely but we've had a colder spell over the last couple of weeks. All perfectly runnable but I prefer t-shirt weather.
