10k to Half Marathon training: Week 2 Run 1

I did a fairly solid run this morning of 10K this morning and it started my day off nicely! I have one long-distance run each week, so it feels good to get it out of the way. I ran with no headphones and knocked 5 minutes off my time! I'm looking forward to the shorter runs where I can focus on my speed more. It was a completely different experience running in the dark with the wind in my ears. I reached 5K pretty easily and felt an adrenaline slump for 2K. Then my excitement peaked again as I knew I was near the end.

Wow, well done for running without headphones, I need the distraction of music or a podcast usually to keep me going but I might try to go without them for a shorter run, it sounds like a nice bit of mindfulness 🧘‍♂️🧘‍♀️
