Week 1 of Half Marathon training and foxes!

So I did my long slow run of 6.4K (4 miles) early this morning and at first it was hard to get into my groove, but once I was in my groove, I quite enjoyed it! And I saw two foxes! One fox ran out from nowhere and darted across the road in front of me and then I saw another one standing in the path and it bolted into a garden when it saw me running along! So that's week 1 of training done, I'm looking forward to week 2 and how running can help me deal with my nerves when I have my driving test next week! :-D

Good luck for your driving test next week, fox 🦊 on the run, well perhaps that is a good omen for your test, I bet you could outrun them, a good run for you today Redcell41, foxes and all. Enjoy week 2 and good luck for your test.

Good luck with the driving test!

Hope the running plan is something to focus on and distract you if you get nervous thinking about it.

Thanks! I went for a run before my last test and it really brought my nerves down to nothing! I also make sure I go for a run on the day of any concerts I'm performing in because it really helps with controlling pre-concert nerves! 😃

It still surprises me on every run that the first 5 to 10 minutes are so ropey! Always takes that long to warm up my joints, muscles and whatever, before everything falls into a comfortable rhythm 🙂. Good luck with that driving test 🤞

Yeah some runs I go into my groove straight away but other runs it takes me a while! I had this one run (of about 45 minutes) where I got into my groove in the last 10 minutes! 😃

Lovely! It’s wonderful to come across wildlife on a run. Hope your driving test goes smoothly next week.

I saw a fix during my marathon yesterday. He stared at me. I’m sure he rolled his eyes 😁

Good luck with your test 👍
