Just ✅ off my 7k easy trot.More like 7.5k and 75 mins.
Ho Hum.I have adopted MW’s strategy. Not bothered about time, enjoy it and get there safely.I have a long way to go and perhaps I am going to make it longer.
Got a 12k inland sea loop and a 10k Irish Sea coastal loop.So thinking ACW & CW round both to make them a little different and that should give a 44k total.Going to see what is needed to crank up to 8 hours.Certainly if I can stay comfortable with a 10 mins / km this is 440 mins 7.5-8 hours. This is only a planning number, not an intended goal.
Now thinking of carrying nothing and placing some water at a mid point on each circuit and having a 10-15 minute break at home on completion of each circuit.Perhaps go 12k/ brk /10k/ brk /12k / brk / 10k / Finish.
I only want to experience what it feels like.So no rules and on my terms.🙈🤣
Looking forward to trotting round these loops individually and then see about getting back to HM by completing two together and onwards hopefully.
Thanks for the help I received from the forum and best wishes with all your plans.

Good trot for you today Tbae, according to that Strava map above, you ran 11.8km in a time of 18 minutes and 53 seconds, that is a excellent time for a man of your age,
However, you say that you ran 7.5K in 75 minutes, I believe you, not Strava,
Good luck for your 10K, etc, loops, those runs will be great practice for your goal of eventually getting to the 26 mile marathon distance.
Ooooh how enticing. Rubs hands 🤗. Seeing your map makes me want to run it too 😃
Don’t worry about stuff 😃 You shouldn’t need a snack for 12k but it’s a good idea to take a power bar just in case. Ditto sommat to sup. Leaving drinks at various points sounds a good idea and will be a boon as the runs gets longer Or you could invest in a pack I had one for Christmas but not used it yet
Having your home as a base on the circuit is reassuring As you get more used to the distance it becomes less of a necessity Handy for the loo though. I use church halls and pubs You can but ask. Churches and cemeteries have water taps, and a loo if you’re lucky. You get resourceful in all sorts of ways the further you go 😁
Have fun 😃👍💪. I’m just off, my PNB overnight oats having been digested Dead stodgy 😆😋. Intervals. 8 of them 🙄. Going to multitask and go to Lidl on the way home
I messed up my intervals as per but never mind. I can salvage something from them 😁.
I did my Lidl shop, post run. Quite what I’m going to do with coconut sugar I don’t know yet. Biscuits sound a goer 🤔. Got a goodly array of nuts, berries and seeds. Lots of running fuel in other words 💪😃👍🏃♀️
