Thanks SL.I will have to build something in.I was hoping that with on average 2-3 repair days between each 5k Tempo and Long Trot each week that would keep me safe.π€π
Good luck! Getting out there and doing the runs will determine the itinerary and will depend on how things go. It's always a case of suck it and see. I predict you'll be fine as long as you get your rest days in. I'm dog walking as my cross training this week. There's always something to be doing isn't there!
It was lovely and bright out there today. I got quite pink. Stopped at the shop for lunch items on the way home. We have to multi-task don't we.
Have fun on your outings! I'll think about you while I'm out on Saturday for my longer run (18k I think).
the need to pick up my feet or get my mind back on the job,I think about your solid advice, donβt worry about time, just enjoy and get back home safely. That is just magic.
Yes, as suggested by others, recovery is just as important as the distance build up. You may want some cut back weeks in your plan. The later weeks will need more recovery. You can stop when you get to 42.2k unless you are aiming for ultra distance π
I get you - I have the opposite problem of a 10k loop so have to add the extra on in my training runs π€£. Hope it all goes well, and take that extra recovery when your body tells you to and adapt the plan π
Yes thanks Macmac thanks for your experience.I have one 10k coastal loop and one 12k inland sea loop with my home/ drinks station in the middle. So wil go 10k/ brk/ 12k/ brk / 10k / brk / 12k / finish.
