Covid19 has changed my Mantra.

When I embarked on my Trotting Marathon build up I started with Enjoy and Get Home Safe.

It is now Enjoy and Stay Home Safe.💥

My friend the garden is helping me achieve this target along with the forum.

I did initially think this was going to be a one off.Hooked I am now, and during this awful crisis for all, I have plans for garden ultra trots both day and night.

Just because it’s there,perhaps doable and if not now when.

Stay safe everyone and thank you for this forum and all the help it gives to serve individual needs.

Enjoy your trots round your garden Tbae, did you see the man who ran a 26 mile marathon around a very small garden, much smaller than yours, even smaller than mine, even if I ran a 5K around my garden, it would be 238 times.

Well done him.Don’t remember exactly but a young man, mid 30’s 🤔and very fit previous professional.Quick time considering.

I thought the Chinese fellow in his lounge and the Frenchman on his balcony all the constant turns.

I am very fortunate that I have a sort of assault course lap pretty much round the boundary perimeter and on a better surface on the driveway.The boundary lap is great training but obviously harder going.The driveway is a quicker go all day job.The confined spaces,sharp turns etc., play havoc with gps.But that’s not important to me because I still use Laura’s podcasts and know how long I am trotting for and at what trotting pace.

Not pushing but beginning to feel stronger and just get the distance.

You’ve got the best mindset Tbae! Enjoy your mini laps round the garden. Doing the math on a 20k around our back garden makes my head hurt. Around 1,250 laps 😜😳. So I am deeply thankful we’ve not been fully locked down yet. Be well!

Thanks Roger you are such an inspiration on here and so knowledgable and a great moderator.

I feel for the people that have medical underlying conditions with respiratory conditions and are rightly being shielded.1.5 million in England and 77,000 in the three other UK nations.They have to stay home for 12 weeks.How we should count our blessings.

I must do the maths, two routes, assault lap perhaps 150m and driveway lap perhaps half 75m.Just done the division 280+ to 560+🤔.

It’s funny Roger at my snail pace is all about 5k/ hour and Laura’s 3 graduate podcasts.So I know how long I have been going.No play list.Teckie🦕🤣

I thought initially I am never going to get to 8 hours, sounds awful but now I would love to do 120k max in 24hours.I would take anything just to go round the clock.

I have a critical care daughter on maternity leave at present due back soon.

These dedicated frontline people in all fields are the hero’s of course.

Wish I had the skills to take her place.

So many questions,when we get through this.The nations Tier 1 threat has to lead to better preparedness and of course much more.

My friend phoned me the other day for a catch-up. Her daughter is a teacher but is in work every day as she has 30 children in school; mostly of nhs worker parents. She has three young kids of her own at home It’s what she does though. Teachers catch all sorts at the best of times 🤷‍♀️ I have three nieces who are teachers I’m scratching my head now just thinking about them 😁

We have to remain optimistic 💪👍🙂
