Just signed up for my first Half Marathon

Just signed up for Royal Parks Half Marathon in October, been running since Feb and just managed my first 10k, so inspired by that and the London Marathon I’ve signed to run for Team MacMillan!

Anyone else running this one?

i applied in the ballot but did not make it through. My friend ran this last year and i went down to support her. Its a great run with a fantastic atmosphere so you will really enjoy it Good luck with the training

I didn’t do the ballot either I’ve had to pledge £350 in donations to get in!

[Sigered Half Marathon]

I was lucky and managed to get a place in the ballot. This was going to be my first half marathon too but I have since signed up for the Southend half in June.

It looks like you are making good progress!

I didn't get a ballot place either so am doing something else as I'vealready done a fundraisingrun this year, but it looks great. I will apply again though and look forward to your race report. Enjoy!

Not this year. I got a ballot place two years ago. It's a nice, flat event, and I got a PB. Support in the city section wasn't terribly impressive. On the other hand, it was deafening in the parks.
