I am struggling a bit with achey legs, sore heels so,had a few days rest. I have missed a 12k run on Saturday and have a 28km due tomorrow. I might just set off today for the 12k and see how it goes 🙄
blimey, if you are doing 28k tomorrow isnt it wise to rest today or just do a 5k potter or a soak with Epsom?!!!??? Good luck and I hope the legs improve very soon!!
I had a good weekend! fastest parkrun all year and then i took some photos at Jnr Parkrun as it was super hero Sunday! flickr.com/groups/parkwood-... then a little longish run Sunday evening.
as for this week had a nice gentle bike ride this morning and then rest Tuesday and i have a 10k trail run race on Wednesday evening. I haven't thought much past that really.
Oh, i need some new shorts down only got one pair at the moment.
yes they are very serious and some of them serious fast! 2km in 7mins 51seconds was the winner on sunday.
i can't make up my if I should go for the 2in1 shorts or just go with the normal running shorts, then it's the length should I have long or short. it's all so confusing!
I did the intensive sea swimming course on Saturday, it was great! We learned a lot in the pool, and then actually got to swim in the sea, which had been looking doubtful all week due to high winds whipping the surf up. As it was we swam in pretty big waves full of seaweed All good fun I'm looking forward to practising better swimming over the next few weeks.
Triathlon training is going well, too. I love it, it's really fun
I also have properly signed up for the London2Brighton 100k ultra next year - yay!
Wishing a good running/resting week to one and all!
I was also fairly achy towards the end of last week, so wasn't too sad to have to take break for a few days while we travel back to Norway. I managed to get out for an 8.3 k run this morning in Germany, and wondered how I'd cope with the intervals, but it went really well.
Helsinki Street Run (17K) is only 11 days away, so I plan to do this week's long run on Thursday or Friday, with only short runs leading up to the race. This will be my first race where the organizers use a language I don't know!
Haven't posted here in ages... I've got my first taste of London running tomorrow: the Regent's Park 10k. Really looking forward to it. Hoping for sub 49mins.
