Weekly chat 25th to the 31st of December 🎅🏼🎄🕺🏽

Apologies, my days are all muddled as it’s Christmas! So how is it going, have you managed to get out at all over the festive period so far ?

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If youre a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi without the pressure of a full post.

Hello peeps 😃

Not got out yet! Should be running today but it’s my turn to cook so no chance. I think it could be a double un tomorrow then I have a new running tee and socks

Importantly, I got my GYM MEMBERSHIP 👍😁. My husband got me a back massage and a spa pass thrown in. I didn’t even know they had a spa. Oooh get me? I think I’ll let em pamper my terrible marathon-battered feet 🙄

Hey guys, happy holidays!! I got some awesome stuff for Christmas including a book on Chi running and an r8 roller!!!! I also got some new socks which means I have more than 4 pairs of running socks now lol

I'm having a good week so far, ran 23 miles last week with my long run at 13.1. My legs were fatigued on my run yesterday but I felt fine in regards to pain. I have 11 more weeks until my marathon and I am anxious/excited. I can't stop visualizing the race. Last night I went to bed thinking of the race and crossing the finish line.

Oooh, I love my R8 roller. It hurts so good after a long run on those sore muscles 😂.

I don't think it's a coincidence but this is the best i've felt in a year!! I am in love with my roller.

It helped immensely when I was training for my walking marathon a few years ago. I'm just getting reacquainted with it again now that I've restarted running and are building my distances up once again. My relationship has been known to be a love/hate (more love than hate usually 😆). If I have been negligent on rolling and use it when I'm already quite sore, it is nice to know you can pull the rollers out while rolling so you don't get full compression. As the muscles loosen, then I'll go full force. I find it much easier to use than a foam roller, so I tend to be more consistent with it. It doesn't take very long to get the entire leg and buttocks worked over either!

Hey peeps I haven’t got out yet however will do today! It’s been crazy over Christmas too with plenty of cooking and a way too much eating!

I did get a Fitbit for Christmas though and can’t wait to use it on my run today!

A gym membership is on the cards too this week when I can tear myself away from the laptop as I am having to work through the break!

Anyway happy running to you all and will let you know how I get on today! W5R2 so the running for 8 minutes is going to be interesting after the feast! 😊

Finally got out today for a short run after almost a week long break from my 17 on Friday of last week. Its been very cold here. Today is -25...so an indoor track run it was :). It was really nice to get back out again. Was getting a bit antsy the last couple of days.

-25 is cold!! It's 35F where I live and I thought that was cold haha!

Haha yes, we are in Toronto and getting Winnipeg weather this week and next 😁. 35 degrees sounds balmy! :)
