I'm now in the London 2018 ballot. Third time for luck. The training top from last year that they give to unsuccessful applicants that still pay the full price (I.e., suckers like me) has been my fave all winter, so if nothing else I expect to get a fresh non smelly (at least initially) top.
On Saturday I ran Sentrumsløpet in Oslo city center, the first major run of the season, with just under 8000 finishers. Considering how unfit I was feeling after being out of action for a little while, I was reasonably pleased with my PB of almost 2 minutes for the race. I just wonder when I'll manage sub-60, though, as I keep getting really close. Not next year, as I expect to be in London that weekend.
I thought of you all as I set out, remembering our discussion of how much clothing to wear when it's chilly. Wearing a T-shirt and capris was perfect during the race, but pretty awful before we got going.
I have not entered the London ballot yet, for the last year i have done it as soon as possible and with no luck.
So i am going to wait till the last day because then your at the top of the box when they pull them out, no one wants to go rummaging around right at the bottom you want to be fairly near the top.
other then that I am thinking of what i need to do to train for BeachyHead.
