Before lockdown I used to get my eyebrows threaded regularly. I always felt better afterwards as I felt more groomed and it was a confidence-booster. Over the last year I did try to tweeze them myself but despite using my husband’s shaving mirror which is magnified one side it just wasn’t powerful enough as my sight isn’t what it was. Yesterday I had one of those “I wonder” moments. I already have zoom enabled on both iPad and iPhone but had never tried this on camera. It worked - so well that my daughter (via FaceTime) thought I’d snuck out and had them professionally threaded. Below I’ve written a step by step guide to the basics. There are more settings which allow you to divide the screen but I wanted to keep this as short as possible.
Go to settings then....
Accessibility
Enable Zoom - you should see a window and you can dismiss this by tapping the small rectangle at the bottom of the window and selecting zoom out
Scroll down to zoom region and select “window zoom”
Open camera app
Select symbol with white circle with two arrows to turn camera around
Tap screen twice with three fingers
Tap on little rectangle on bottom of window to show menu
Resize lens allows you to choose the area you want to magnify
At the bottom you can slide white dot to increase/decrease magnification
You can move the magnification area by touching the small white rectangle on the box and moving it around.
Zoom Out sets screen to normal.
