Loss of feeling in hand

Hi, I seem to have lost the feeling in my left hand from the top of my wrist to the tips of fingers, it just feels dead and I cant feel anything touching it.

Any ideas???

My intermittant, patchy numbness was put down to fibromyaligia, which I'm not convinced of. There are loads of older posts on this if you put 'numbness' into search. Hopefully it will give you some helpful info.

Has the numbness gone away by now? How long did it last? If you haven't already had it, you will need a nerve conduction test to check for obstructions on the nerve path, or peripheral neuropathy or carpal tunnel etc.

Hand is sill numb, saw my own dr this morning and he thniks the pain i've been having in hand for the last year is actually carpel tunnel not lupus. Said I have no muscle tone in thumb at all, and the tendon running from wrist to thumb has slipped he can see the kink in my tendon. Need to have a nerve test next week then an operation to release the nerve and fix the tendon.

At least it isnt lupus playing games

i have numbness is both hands they first go white and stay like that for what seems like ever and when they do eventually come back they go black and then red the pain is awfull when the use return
