I would like to say thank you for all your kind words and support while I m in hospital iam getting home today as all my levels have went back up and my anti biotics have finished no more drip for that they say I got pneumonia got a letter saying iam not getting Dla so I got a friend he going to fight for me thank you again xxxxxx

hey thats great news!!!! there is nothing like being in your own bed in your own home when you dont feel well.

The DLA make me laugh (NOT) they have no bloody idea what they are doing EVER, and before they even look into your case as an individual they stop your money.

I have experienced this twice now, and temporarily last frinday, due to them needing proof of my address lol

PLEASE do not give up.....fught them as I have gone to a tribunal twice now and have won each time. I know it is a complete pain in the arse but we gotta do these things otherwise they will give up on us completely.

Hi Scotty - pleased that the hospital were able to stabilise you, and that you are now not needing the anti-biotics. I was refused DLA too, but I appealed, and my GP backed this up with a letter. Eventually, they did pay it, but am on the lowest rate - so may need to re-apply this year. Good that you have a friend to help you "fight your corner" because dealing with burocrats can be exhausting!!!

Stay positive, take lots of Vits (Flax Seed Oil and Turmeric are very good for lifting your mood and energy level), and try to get out in the sun - when it shines!

Take good care of yourself, & I hope you continue to make good progress. It's awful that you have been refused benefits when you are so ill. How stressful! I'm sure you will get something in the end, but you really don't need all the hassle now. Thank goodness for your friend.

How are you now?

There was a documentary on TV this evening all about the Govt pllanning to scrap DLA and replace it with PIPS - it was very thought provoking! Hopefully you will have a fair assessment this time around......
