Fungal infection

Hiya. My hair is thinning and my scalp is sore and itchy. The doc thinks it's a fungal infection and has given me a shampoo. Feel happy if he's right but worried he may be wrong and its the steroids. Has anyone else had this infection. If you have please let me know. X

I had a weird itchy spot on my head for ages. My GP threw anti-fungals at it for a while but it had no effect. Eventually it went away on its own. My hair was really thin there for a few years, but has started to regrow recently.

I seem to have the same problem, asked the Dermatologist if he could look, he didn't and just said it's Lupus I am going to see him again unfortunately and will make the same request, if the answers the same I am going to ask him who taught him his bedside manners and could he please refer me to someone more pleasant, will let you know the result. Anyway goodluck hope all goes okay with you x
