Its a book by a woman in the US who was diagnosed with Lupus and the steps she took to rebuild her life. Wondering if anyone has read it or can recommend, before I spend my hard-earned cash! Thanks

There is a blog here that might help you know if you want to read her:

despitelupus.blogspot.co.uk/

Sometimes other people's success stories can just make me feel like a failure - so I won't be reading it. I tried to keep going - like this woman, and have failed spectacularly at it all!

Thanks Maggie. I've seen her blog so just wondered if people had read the book too.

I know what you mean about trying to keep going. Xx

and my lupus may be different to yours, that what make us What we are because each day is different.

I also try to shy away from the US for info, some times its bad reading. But read the Blog that MaggieS has put, than make up your own mind.

But please let us know how you get on.

I find that there is bad reading all over the place, including plenty of sites like this in the UK as well as the US. It depends how you take the information and what you do with it I suppose. As I said above, I have read many of her blogs, and was wondering if anyone had read her book - to gain an opinion, in the same was as I do when reading reviews. If I do buy it, I will post a review.

Thanks

I think if her blog appeals so will her book, but not read it. I very much relate to Maggies, it is so dis-heartening to read about someones great success when you try so hard and dont feel any better.

I think being a little selfish and congratulating yourself every so often helps.

Besides this book is probably part of her therapy; be positive, write a book! ......Apologies, not even read her blog! But Americans and public image is not my favourite subject! Take care loopy friends. x
