Leukocytes in urine

Hi has anyone had leukocytes in their urine without infection? It has been sent off for a urinylsis but just wanted to know abit more about what it means?

Hi

Recently in hospital because my temparature soared to 39.2 and I was'nt showing any signs of being ill. No shivers no headaches no more aches and pains than usual.

When in they did the usual blood and urine tests and this showed up the leukocytes and was on IV anti-biotics for 10 days as it was an e coli infection.

This totally wiped me out - even more than usual - and apart from lots of fluids, rest and anti-biotics ( and patience which is not one of my strong points)

you have to wait for it to run its course ( a bit like a virus ).

Hope this helps and your tests show nothing or a very mild infection.
