So beautiful thank you for sharing, we all need some joy and positivity. I am so very sorry that you still have not heard about your appointment. Have you rung to say you will accept a last minute cancellation? Xxx

Thank you cecily for your lovely messages. Really pleased you liked the pic and i so agree how we all need joy and positivity right now. I've phoned the hospital today and found out i've got a 6-12 month wait still for an appt. Ive only done 3 months!. Its horrific as pain no longer is a priority!. No cancellation lists as they just give any to the next person on the list!. I can try again to get myself on urgent list so on monday i shall see how willing my gp is!. He wasn't before. Ive had a very tough week for pain too!.

Hope you've been ok and Findlay is still entertaining you. Take care. XxπŸ€žπŸ¦‹πŸ’•

I am so very sorry to hear this, pain should be a priority. I think sometimes we are too stoic when we deal with the medics so when you see or speak to the GP next week let it all out, let him see how badly it is affecting you. Please let me know how you get on. I shall be crossing fingers and toes for you lovely.

I am struggling myself and thankfully was seen immediately at my new surgery. Bloods, urine sample then a triple appointment with the lady GP. I am being referred to a Gynaecological Urologist. They suspect Vulvodynia and possible pelvic adhesions. It never stops does it? Look after yourself and yes Finlay is the light in my life, the joy in my days and the comfort at night. I love him so dearly, he is sat sucking my whole hand as I type this bless him. Such a beautiful nature xxx

Cecily, Sorry to hear you have more issues to deal with, but glad you are getting care. I absolutely love what you said about Finley. I know that without Pumpkin and Gigi iI don't know I could cope with everything. Our fur babies are such blessings.

Healing hugs.

Thank you so much. I am a bit miserable and fed up with myself at the moment. Now I have a UTI and anaemia to add. Thank goodness for our little fur antidepressants eh? I hope that you are as well as you can be? Xxx

misty14β€’ in reply toCecilyParsley

I am very sorry Cecily to hear that you have more horrible problems but pleased your new gp surgery is giving you much better care!. Its sad we have to be suffering so much to get it but its proof changes can be for the better!. I hope you don't wait too long to see the GynaeUrologist and your urgent!. No, pain is no longer a priority in this new NHS. Pre-covid it was and i would have been seen by now!!.

I agree re stoicism is bad. My pain consultant thinks i 'm stoic. On Monday, I'm giving my gp one last chance to do something like write to the hospital on my behalf and if he won't then i'm changing gp's. Your experience is giving me heart that its the right thing to do as its not the first time he's refused!!.

Thanx for all your support cecily, really appreciate it and i'll let you know how monday goes.

Have a lovely weekend with Finlay. Xx

It really is not good enough. I had given up hope of getting help to be honest. Today I had a phone call saying I have got a particularly nasty UTI and anaemia. I am not surprised that I have them but surprised that someone cares enough to treat me. I am glad it gives you hope that things can indeed be better for People like us. Don’t take no for an answer. Let me know how you get on xxx

misty14 profile image
misty14β€’ in reply toCecilyParsley

I am so sorry cecily your battling a horrid UTI and aneamia. There is always something that we have to battle with our health and its that , that can really get us down as we hardly get any breaks. I hope your starting to feel better, thank goodness your with a better surgery now that cares for its patients. You've had apalling care over the years!.

Ive spoken to my gp who was very sympathetic and after much thought he reckons i should write to my Pain Consultant as she put my drugs up in Dec. Asking about pain relief and seeing if she'd write to the gastro consultsnt to get me seen!!. Thats what i'll do!!.

Must just tell you late on fri i had a text from my gp surgery saying a new gp will start on 1st April covering my doctor's list as he's going part time. The amazing bit is he's got a special interest in gastroenterology!!. If only he was starting sooner?!. Ha!. Just so perfect!!.

We are looked after cecily , that just proves it!!.

I'm suddenly getting migraine's again after a long break so i do understand about the extras being hard to cope with!. I hope your anaemia gets treated and you see the consultant soon.

TAKE CARE and feel better soon. XxπŸ¦˜πŸ’•πŸ¦˜πŸ€žπŸ’•πŸ¦˜πŸ’•πŸ€žπŸ¦˜πŸ’•πŸ¦˜πŸ™

oh wow the new GP sounds just perfect for you but you cannot wait until April. I cannot understand why your GP won’t write too, The pain specialist is just another supporting voice. I hope she responds quickly to you.

Guess what I had a phone call from the hospital this afternoon. They have a cancellation so I go on Thursday to have the camera down my throat to look at my vocal chords. I am shocked as I was to,d there was an 18 month waiting tine. Who hoo things are looking up. You look after yourself lovely xxx

misty14β€’ in reply toCecilyParsley

Good luck cecily for thursday and the camera test. 🀞, its helpful for diagnosing and treating your problems. Wonderful news that finally your getting the help you need so badly. Keep us posted. Ive written my letter and feel so relieved. My gp just won't do it himself for me but tells me what to do. Pain consultant is so supportive so i'm really hopeful she will do something to help. Will let you all know when i get a reply!.

I'll think of you on thursday, cecily, keeping my 🀞for you. XxπŸ™πŸ’•πŸ€ž

Thank you so much Misty. My guess is that they will find nothing, it seems so often that is the case 😐. Regardless I have been complaining for years of a sore throat, hoarse voice and intermittent choking so I am pleased someone is going to have a look. We have a friend Finlay sitting as we have only left him for two hours max before. Well done you for writing your letter, send it recorded delivery. I’m feeling a little better thanks Misty and hopefully the Prednisolone will stop the flare soon, but my arthritic shoulder remains VERY painful. I had my liver function tested yesterday so hope the news on Monday is that it has returned to normal at last.πŸ™πŸ» But that is terrible that you are expected to wait from. 6 - 12 months for an appt when you are in so much pain.😫 I admire your determination to get the help you so deserve even if it means changing GP. I hope that won’t be necessary and that your GP will help to expedite an appt. Codeine didn’t work for me either so I hope these Lidocaine patches work soon.🀞 I’m hoping and praying you get some pain relief very soon one way or another Misty. Please take care and keep us posted how you get on.

Hoping you manage to have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend too Misty.πŸ™πŸ» πŸ’•πŸ€—πŸ˜˜πŸŒ·πŸŒ·πŸŒ·xxx

Thank you spotty for your lovely mesdage znd good wishes. I hope you get good news on Mon about your liver results. Do let me know. I'm glad your feeling better but ever so sorry about your PAINFUL shoulder still. Its so miserable having such pain. The lidocaine patches should be helping by now if they're going to. They also work best for nerve pain which might explain no relief!. Maybe you do need an Orthapod Referral?.

I must tell you what happened last night as its so wierd and spooky but shows we're looked after!!. I had a text letter from my gp surgery to say a new gp would be starting in April covering the list of my usual gp whose going part time!!. The amazing bit is he's got a special interest in gastroenterology!!. Just so perfect for me , its given me such a lift spotty!. A new gp without doing anything!!. Wish he was starting sooner!. Ha!.

If on mon my gp won't do anything i will write to my Pain Consultsnt asking her for advice. I just can't wait in this level of pain and im getting migraines back after years of nothing. Probably the stress but its making daily life even harder!!.

I do hope we bring each other luck on mon. Take care and im keeping 🀞for you. XxπŸ¦˜πŸ’•πŸ¦˜πŸ™πŸ¦˜πŸ’•πŸ¦˜πŸ€ž

That is fantastic news Misty!! πŸ‘πŸ» πŸ‘πŸ» It is still a bit of a wait until April to see this new with a special interest in gastroenterology but nothing like 6 - 12 months! I’m SO pleased for you but hope your GP will help on Monday anyway.🀞 Migraines are the pits! I hope you feel better soon and I hope we do bring each other luck on Monday. I’ll definitely be thinking of you and hoping all goes well.

Thank you too for your kind wishes Misty, especially while suffering so much yourself. 😫 Dr Nick said the Lidocaine patches can take a week to really kick in so I haven’t given up yet as I’ve only used them 4 days now, but I did think there was a slight improvement today allowing me to mop the floor without too much pain as long as I was careful how I pushed the mop with the sore arm. πŸͺ£πŸ§Ή I think an orthopaedic referral would be best, but I’ll see what he says on Monday. 🀞

Take care Misty and I pray you are feeling much better soon. πŸ™πŸ»πŸ€—πŸ€žπŸ˜˜πŸ’•xxxx
