Supplements for Lupus Rash
Hi, I wouldn't take anything sulfur related. Lupus patients are allergic to sulfur and sulfur based products. I am even on a sulfur free diet and a safe drugs list which has drugs totally sulfur free . Helps me a great deal and i no longer suffer from the skin problems in my lupus. Also, high sulphur is the main problem with the bad reactions to generic hydroxychlorequine. Plaquenil (original hydroxychlorequine) which is now Zentiva is the safest pill for lupus people because of the level of sulfur. Other brands are high in sulfur hence the bad reaction.
Thankyou Largather, explained beautifully x
Hello Sugg,
I can see you have received some helpful advice below from Largather!
I have attached below a link to a publication from our website and another link to a page on the John Hopkins Lupus Centre website, regarding what to/not to include in your diet, that you may also find useful to look over.

We recommend always checking with your doctor before trying new supplements or medications that have not been prescribed, to avoid flare ups and issues.
Warm regards,
Michaella
I realise that this is not an answer to your specific question, but I would like to mention that applying the sap from an Aloe Vera plant to my Discoid Lupus skin problem areas is very helpful for me.
