lupus butterfly rash?

It looks like it to me, had the same on both sides of my face and chin a few days ago still there but not so bad, been in alot of pain though think the weather makes it worse for me.

Yes exactly. The same I had it this week and it burns..ihad a patch on my nose then both cheeks..it just appears randomly...x

Well I'd actually say rosecea? I suffer from both. My lupus rash was different. Basically a red strip across the top of my cheeks and nose. It didn't extend to the lower part of my cheeks. Then last July I developed rosecea which now covers my cheeks like yours. I went to autoimmune specialist who advised it was rosecea as did my rheumy x

When i had a lupus butterfly rash it was the typical accross my nose and cheeks. I bought all sorts of over the counter (expensive) creams which didn't help at all. it felt lumpy and sensitive and very obvious. Referred to dermatology who prescribed a mild steroid cream which did the job. Have not had it in years now. I would ask to get referred to a dermatologist x

have aksed gp for referral(s); but he refuses to do so.wont accept that they (drs and consultnats)dont always get things right.listen to their patients anymore

Hey, had same problems...mine shows the same with similar presentation and sensations....so irritating medical staff don't acknowledge how you feel, x

for first time in 3 years someone (A&E dr)actually listened to me and took me seriously-that I had lost weight everywhere else yet gained on my stomach.just need to find the cause.(know my stomach/weight not a lupus issue).lupus rash is butterfly shaped and thats exactly what I see when I look in a mirror
