Dent in my lower eyelid/waterline

Hi

I have had a little dent in the water line/lower lid of my eye for a few months now. No irritation or redness just a dent and there was no trauma to the eye to cause it. I left it a few months as I assumed it would just go but it hasn’t.

Has anyone experienced this? I am going to the Opticians today and booked an OCT scan too so I’m not relying on the internet but I also know people with autoimmune illness have a random selection of symptoms and we become the experts to a degree so wondered if anyone has any knowledge they could share if it’s related at all?

May be completely unrelated to my lupus or APS but just wanted to ask as I know there’s a chance the optician may say they have no idea and then the GP may say say the same as some things don’t seem to have explanations.

I'd never heard the term either and

theatlantic.com/health/arch...

says it is a cosmetic term and not medical.

hi Bobbydoodle sorry you didn’t get any replies to your post. Did you find out what it was? I have the same thing. Hope you’re ok.

Ps: I’ve heard it called “waterline” many times :)

Hi

Yes I went to the optician and was told it was nothing to worry about. I can’t remember the exact terms they used but it was something along the lines of a tiny gland. :)
