Have some driving lessons with a driving instructor. Explain the situation, make sure they are understanding and have a good rapport with you and you'll be back on the road in no time.
Lots of people do this after taking a break from driving. Good luck.
sounds horrible and frightening, hope you are ok now
HiGlad you recovered...
I must admit driving does give me a sense of freedow, with good tunes on the radio (or which ever devise you have) & more so after being in isolation for so long)...
I was raised with an automatic car & it's a joy to drive as it a point & go car...who needs the hassle of shifting (like my brothers) happily let the car do that....
I hope you find your strength to start again, keep it short distance & may come back to you....there is also hypnotherapy 🤔, lik e happytulip suggestion of a lesson or two....

After my stroke, when I was given clearance to drive again, I started small and with another adult in the car. Then after I felt familiar again with driving I began dropping and picking my daughter up from primary school . Now, almost three years later I drive everywhere again without thinking too much about it. Start slow and a driving refresher course is great advice. Good luck!
