Hi yes I get random itching that drives me insane - I take piriton every 4 hours when I’m like this and it really does calm the itch down x
I used to have loads of random itching before. I was in immunosuppressants. This year. I was very itchy on the evenings, when I got undressed.
I recently bought a more expensive bath foam.
I don’t itch any more,so I now need to look for special offers !
Hi thank you for getting back to me I appreciate your help could I please ask you something what is Immunosuppressants and did that help you with your itch
Hello it's awful itching like that. The only thing that works for me is hydroxizine. I also use body wash etc designed for itchy skin. I finally deduced that gluten was the culprit. I hope it stops soon for you.
Here is a good link on itching to check out. webmd.com/skin-problems-and...
Also it could be vitamin b12 deficiency
Hi, I get incredibly itchy, to the point I’ve scratched myself raw.I’m on a prescription antihistamine ( prescribed by the hospital) Fexofenadine, 180mg twice a day, it works, and if I forget to take it for a couple of days the itching starts up again. Might be worth asking if you could try it.
I take a daily prescription dose of allergy medicine. It is the only thing that has helped me from chronic hive and itchiness. I still get some hives when my lupus is aggravated but it is minor compared to before I started taking it.
I get itching most places. I know the morphine I take for pain exacerbates it but my back and scalp are the worst. I take antihistamines wife daily but the under skin rash on my back still drives me crazy. I use thick emollient cream twice a day too. I hope you find something that works for you xx
Antihistamine does help.My own experience is that my skin itches when the temperature drops by just a few degrees.
At night, I sometimes wake up with my arms out side of the covers, my arms then start to itch. When I put my arms back under the covers, the itching stops.
The funny thing is that I wear long sleeve shirts in the colder weather to prevent itching but long sleeve spf30 shirts in the sun to prevent rashes and burning.
Lupus is a crazy condition and we're always learning new things about it even after decades of having it.
Only thing that helps me when I itch is allergy medicine (antihistamine). I use to scratch til I bled especially my hands and feet.
I found my scalp and arms itchy. My scalp is the worse. It comes and goes.
