Coping with a head cold

Does anyone have tips for coping with a head cold? I used to very much one to just get on with it but since diagnosis any minor Illness becomes a big deal. I have small children and a demanding job. Caught a cold off of the kids and I’ve hit a complete wall. Trying to listen to my body but it is so inconvenient and I am so fed up. My husband isn’t usually very good at ‘caring’ and I’m rubbish at being cared for, so the fact that he is means i must just look awful. I am taking hydroxy, regular painkillers/flu plus and started on berrocca. I need to speak to a dr or pharmacist as mouth and throat are starting to get ulcers. Anyone suggest anything else to help?
