what do they feel like? I have a sore that comes and goes but is always in the same place, just inside the tip of my right nostril. I had always thought it might be to do with the cold or my Raynaud's but temperature doesn't seem to make a difference.
It persists for weeks sometimes and *TMI alert:* it smells.
Still trapped in the Undifferentiated Inflammatory Arthritis diagnosis nightmare. Any info gratefully received!

Hi. Have you contacted your GP to tell them? I get sores in my nostrils but they don't tend to smell. Could you have a bad sinnus infection? That may account for the smell.Either way you really need to get it checked out the sooner the better. Good luck and take care.
When I go to my rhuemetologist I am always asked if I have or have had any sores or ulcers in my mouth or nose. My doctor says it can be a lupus symptom. I get a recurring one inside my right nostril on my septum. It comes and goes. You definitely should go to your doctor when it is active. I have read that they can take a culture swab from it.
Yes I get it too in my right nostril it tends to flare when I’m busy tired and a bit stressed, but I have never bothered to get it checked… very interesting to hear that culture swabs can be taken… so I intend to ask when I next see doctor. Take care bright blessings x
I get this, usually in exactly the same place you describe - it's really sore! No smell attached to it although when I'm tired I get phantom oil/metal smells. Weird aren't we lol. Anyway, in terms of helping the sore nose, I use a cotton bud to apply vaseline and it feels so much more comfortable.
Hi I suffer really badly with nasal sores that can last up to 6 weeks they go for abit and then I get them again, so sore and painful, I tend to get them worse in 1 nostril, they don’t smell tho - I use naseptin nasal cream which you can get on perscription x
