Man should embrace nature

Spotty-ewe profile image
37 Replies

Hello all you lovely nature lovers. I know you’ll agree that this is the relationship we should have with nature: one of love, trust, and respect for one another. Man’s greed has led to so much devastation of our wildlife and its environment which is affecting the whole of the animal kingdom including ourselves. I love this photo which gives us hope that it isn’t too late to live in harmony with nature. It epitomises the how I feel about nature, and I know many of you do too. 💕🦧🦓🐘🦏🦙🦌🦡🦥🦔🦦🦈🐳🐋🦉🦅🦆 Spotty xxx

Adorable 🥰 one of my all time favourite animals.man has been his own worst enemy for a long time and it’s nice to think he can change his ways 🙏🙏🙏so agree totally.👍 😘🤗x

Thank you lovely Stiff. Considering how man has abused these lovely creatures and even killed Diane Fossey who loved and studies them, it shows that they are such loving and forgiving animals when they get to know and trust you. Have you seen the episode of “Spy in the Wild” where they had a spy baby gorilla? It was so heart-warming. Realy wonderful creatures. 🥰 Take care Stiff. 🤗😘xx

I have a book ‘the wandering gorillas’ by Alan Goodall, it’s both a sad and uplifting read and really takes you into the gorillas lives and plight 😍 it’s an old book but great 👍 No I didn’t see that but whole heartedly agree on the fabulous creatures they are😍😍 gentle giants 😍

Lovely pic 🙌🏻

You too spotty😘🤗x

I’m so pleased the picture brightened your day HW. I’m sure this couple’s bond is stronger and more genuine than many humans have for each each other, just as some of us have or have had with for our pets. I find I get a little choked each time I look at it. I hope you are keeping okay now HW? Take care. 🤗😘xx💕

Beautiful image I agree with everything you say man is destructive and able to devastate natural beauty and decimate the wonderful animals we have on this planet Such huge losses to future generations Thank you for sharing xxx

Spotty-ewe profile image
Spotty-ewe in reply to CecilyParsley

That is the tragedy of it Cecily and my heart goes out to all those lives lost in the name of progress by big industry. I made a complaint about our woodland being felled this time last year and which continued well into the summer during the height of the breeding season. It resulted in badgers, squirrels and roe deer being disturbed and displaced at such a crucial time but it seemed to be of no interest to the powers that be including the wildlife crimes officer. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Only my local councillor supported me. So what hope do we have when money talks so loudly and convincingly? Then they wonder why the red squirrels are becoming a rare sight in what remains of our woods!🤦‍♀️ Stay safe and take care Cecily. Hugs, 🤗😘xx

Exactly we live in a Capitalist society where financial gain is prioritised before human and animal welfare I despair a lot of the time I haven’t seen a red squirrel in years and although it is not lawful to help Grey squirrels tat would never stop me trying to Mans inhumanity is a huge burden in our society but people like you who challenge give me hope Thank you never hange xxx

Try keeping me down Cecily! 😆 I’ve always been the same since a small child so I’ve no intention of changing now. Don’t despair, but if we have enough lonely voices in the wilderness, together we’ll make a difference. I had one little victory last year when the Forestry Scotland man I contacted took on board that if they make those of us reporting what we suspect to be a crime against wildlife to be no more than a nuisance, then crimes against nature will continue and the public will be scared to report it in case they are labelled as time wasters. Better to thank them for their time and interest and tell them you’ll get back to them once you’ve investigated what they’ve reported. He acknowledged this and even said he’d change his approach in future. I was chuffed and told him I respected and admired him for that and we parted on good terms. Just one small victory, but I was pleased about that. 🤗😘xx

Beautifully poignant picture spotty. I do so agree with you. Did you see the film 'Gorillas in the mist?. A long time ago now but about the brilliant work of Jane Goodall!. Im glad your gp appt went well and the optician has asked for blood tests. Its never what we expect and i hope you will be referred to neuro after this. Good despite Easter coming up you can have them on thursday. Good luck for them.

It may also be that because waiting lists are long the hospital has said no routine new referrals yet till some of the covid backlog is cleared!. They write to gp's and tell them. Its hard spotty when you want to make progress!.

Tooth advice was easy thanks spotty. Got to wait till after op to sort veneer out so i rescheduled my appt. I look like fagin now from Oliver Twist and glad i wear a mask!. Ha!.

Good advice too thanks spotty about physio. I expect our situation is the same re their vaccinators!. We did have a physio attached to our gp surgery before covid to beat the queues!. Did your surgery have this?.

I hope you have a good week and good luck on thursday, hope results will be helpful for you. Xx🐣💕🐣🙏💕🐣💕🙏

Thank you so much dear Misty. Sorry your dental work has to wait until after your op, but at least the mask hides a multitude of embarrassments! I just hope it isn’t causing any pain for you.🙏🏻 No our surgery never had a physio attached to it and asked us to self-refer. It was hopeless and once when I was really bad with hip bursitis I used exercises I found on an American site that were demonstrated and explained and I felt much, much better by the time I was eventually offered an appointment so I refused it! Thanks for your kind wishes Misty. Have a good week too and enjoy Easter when it arrives. 🤗😘xx🐣🐥🐇🐇xx

Absolutely Cuttysark. Beautifully put. 👍🏻 That’s exactly the message that needs to be shouted from the rooftops. But I fear the perpetrators will never hear us as their heads are too stuffed with their own selfishness and greed. I hope and pray those of us who care will win through in the end and preserve our wildlife and their precious habitat.🙏🏻 I hope you are feeling a bit better now Cutty 🙏🏻 Take care. 🤗😘xx

Great post - but I wonder whether we ought not to be writing "man's greed" in the C21? It is human greed. That includes women and children, is non-sexist and does not put all the blame on men - they are responsible for a lot of stuff but almost any western woman's bathroom cabinet or wardrobe tells a story about our own responsibility for the state of the planet.

Spotty-ewe profile image
Spotty-ewe in reply to WinterSwimmer

Totally agree with you. I was using man as a collective term short for mankind. I’m not against men at all otherwise I wouldn’t have married one.😂 Women and children are equally as responsible for their actions. One only has to look at the news reports of rubbish left behind in beauty spots after people have camped or picnicked there. Every person who leaves rubbish knows they are doing wrong and are responsible for their own disgusting behaviour when they should be taking their rubbish home. Some sites have even reported human waste found on them when kind volunterrs - men, women and children- have been to clear up the debris. A total disgrace. But that’s people for you - good and bad in every age group and every gendre everywhere. Have a happy Easter! 🤗
