It sounds as if you need some blood tests, and to see a rheumatologist as you could be having a flare, or something else going on. You shouldn't be this bad, it sounds really uncomfortable.

It’s not to dad as my late aunt would say it’ll have it’s bout out I am due bloods as I’m on methotrexate injections and if it dose not calm down I’ll ask Rumi for steroid injection it more embarrassing than painful when I’m out for a meal when it’s this bad as I struggle to keep hold of the knife 🍴 and chop sticks don’t get me started thought I was going to end up with a cleaning bill there was more on the table than in me 😫

Hi.

Like you I am on methotrexate injections but only for the last 9 weeks. I get the odd day of feeling ok ish but on the whole I have alot more pain in all my muscles and joints and stiffness in my hands than I did before I started methotrexate. I have noticed also that my knees have become alot worse also my hair is starting to really thin. Also have the night sweats! Urrghhh!! Maybe just a natural worsening progression or methotrexate related? ?

Les Mis is fab I cried buckets too!

Sending hugs xx

This is how I am right now. The pains in my muscles and joints are aweful 😏 I work as a cleaner and I really am struggling. I also have a stiffness in my hands, wrists and thumbs. Last night the bones at the side of my knees where hurting and woke me up. Even my ankles are aching. What is it u have been diagnosed with please?,

I see a specialist in a week.

Hi. I too used to work as a head house keeper in a residential home. The work just became way to much for me so I sadly had to make the decision to quit work which I did Oct 18. It has caused me so many issues tho and a constant battle between what my head says I should be doing to what my body will allow. The pain and constant fatigue is life changing. I have been diagnosed with SLE, Hughes syndrome, Raynauds phenomenon and just lately rhematoid arthritus. I also had open heart surgery in 2008 to replace my mitral valve which left me with permanent atrial fibrillation too!

I feel for you and hope you get some help and answers soon.

Which specialist are you seeing? Rheumatologist?

Sending you warm hugs xx

Aww thank you. I feel for you with all that to contend with.. I'm finally sat down but I'm uncomfortable as everything hurts 😔.

Yes I'm seeing a Rheumatologist on Friday. My mum had lupus so I've asked them to check that but if there's nothing there I want more investigation. I'm feeling like I'm showing lots of signs for cfs and Fibomyalgia 🤔. The fatigue is aweful having to force myself up to do things for kids and cook etc.

Im pondering wether to go to docs and tell him I've tried for the last month with work but I just feel I need a break even if its only for a week. Or I confront my bosses and ask for a holiday ASAP. if anything just to see if I'm better for not doing such physical work 🤔.

Thank u for your hugs and reply 🤗 x

They originally said lupus but luckily now say it’s mixed connective tissue I take methotrexate hydroxicloriqine folic acid and tramadol it seems to be helping
