Meet Gigi. She showed up in our yard on Dec. 27, 2020.. We started to search for her missing family, but in the mean time started to get attached. I found her family (5 miles) & the lady at the dog pound suggested strongly that it would be better if she was not returned to them. I had already contacted them and was devastated to hear this. We had already had her for a week , bought her toys, etc. The people who had her wanted her for breeding purposes and were not bonded with her, not even the children. Long story short, we bought her from them. We had reservations, especially with my health, but just couldn't imagine her going back to that life. The accident I had with her was traumatic (mentioned in other posts), but not her fault and did not lessen my love for her. She is a true joy.
Healing hugs. Happy Valentine's Day!

Gigi is beautiful- I’m sure she has a much better life with you - I have 2 fur baby dogs - mum and daughter and they make me smile every day and I get so much love from them x
Good for you! Gigi looks very at home with you. People like them and all the puppy farmers who make a quick buck from dog breeding make my blood boil! xxx
Oh my goodness, what a dreadfully sad story... but such a happy ending for her and you. She knew where to come for love obviously. So kind of you Pumpkin... xx
Well done you for your rescue! I find that you get back many times the love and effort that you give to dogs. With lupus they are excellent therapy and know when you are having a bad day.
Gigi is beautiful. I am so so thrilled that you saved her from a life of being bred until she could no longer serve a purpose for those utter 🤬😤. We rescued our bunny ( the original Cecily Parsley) from a women heavily involved in drugs. She had allowed her to live under an abandoned car and she was covered in oil, full of lice and skinny. It took us about six weeks to gain her trust and feed her so that we could grab her. Our original plan was to hand her to the RSPCA for rehoming but by then we loved her so a double hutch in our kitchen ( which she rarely used and she became a member of our family. We lost her the year before last and miss her dreadfully. I was well used to have two dogs sitting watching every time I sat on the loo but Buns used to join them and even once took a leap into my arms. Hilarious. I am sure the bond you have with Gigi will bring you happiness that will live in your heart forever xxx
