Hi. Is anyone here with lupus who has had covid vaccine? what side effects did you have? Thanks
Lupus: Hi. Is anyone here with lupus who has had... - LUPUS UK
Lupus
Hi Lonika, I had the Astrazeneca vaccine a week ago. I had an ever so slightly achy arm for a day. I also had a headache, but I can't say for certain whether that was a side-effect of the vaccine or due to the fact that I'm spending an unhealthy amount of time working in front of the screen.
Other than that, no side effects what-so-ever.
I too have had the vaccine with the same symptoms but was happy to receive it!
Hi, I had the Pfizer vaccine on Wednesday and no side effects just the arm a little sore but only to touch . Good luck ! 😊
I had oxford/AstraZeneca on thurs. The only side effect I've experienced was a headache for 24 hrs.x
I got Moderna dose #1 two weeks ago. Sore arm, chills and nausea for one day. Dose #2 due 2/19.
Hi Lonika, had AstraZeneca today, No ill effects so far apart from feeling sleepy. Time will tell but if there is anything untoward I'll report here.! Good luck and I'd say go for it if/when you're invited.
I had the vaccine but unfortunately, I dont know which one! Its not even written on the card they gave but only a batch no. Anyway, I digress.
To answer your question - yes, I've had the vaccine and I experienced a numbing and soreness in the area where it was administered. Similar to if someone had punched you in your arm (although, I've never been punched in the arm before but that's how I would imagine it would feel like). Also, my Sjogren's was triggered alongside the infamous, our favourite friend who is there through thick and thin, fatigue. My core lupus symtoms were not triggered, by the way. All in all, it lasted 48 hours and then everything was back to "normal".
I had my Moderna Vaccine on 1/30 and the only thing I noticed was a sore arm for a day. Am due for my second shot on 2/27. Like many I was concerned about the vaccine, so discussed it with my Doctor and because I have an allergy to shellfish she recommended the Moderna vaccine.
I had mine yesterday (AZ) no problems at all
Hello, I have Lupus & I had the Oxford vaccine last Thursday. The main symptoms I had was a sore achey arm & woke up on the Friday morning with a big headache. After taking paracetamol, the headache eased. I still have an achey arm this morning but it’s easing day by day.
HiI had Oxford vaccine on Wednesday it is now Sunday I had a headache and sore arm .
Small price to pay for the vaccine
There are now loads of posts and info among all the threads here Ionika - Have a scroll through and you can find many people's accounts of their experiences.
I had my first (Pfizer) Covid jab on Thursday evening. My arm ached a little for the first two days, but not as much as after my annual flu jabs! I have been a bit tired, and slept a bit more than usual, but cannot necessarily link that to the jab. Now looking forward to my second one, and hoping my family will get theirs sooner rather than later. Hope all goes well with yours.
Hiya yes I had mine on friday and apart from a little headache I'm fine and I also have stage4 liver disease
I had oxford on Saturday, sunday woke with massive headache and joint pains felt better as the day went on, however have woken today and fell like I'm inactive full flare, all joints hurting, temperature, headache, butterfly rash!! Feel terrible!!
Absolutely none thankfully
Had Pfizer and now have a slight rash on one side of face. Anyone else experienced the same, or could the vaccine had triggered lupus?
Hi,
I had the vaccine two weeks ago (AZ).
My arm was a little achy the morning after and for three days following.
On the second week I got hot cheeks. I had covid very badly this time last year and my hot cheeks reminded me of my initial infection but it went away after two days.
So grateful to have had my injection x
I had the Oxford Astrazenica on 2nd March. A few hours afterwards I had a headache and felt very tired. Then felt freezing cold and was shivering. Went to bed with electric blanket on and slept for 2 hours. Headache lasted that day but afterwards fine. Everyone says the actual jab doesn’t hurt but it did hurt me, and was sore for three days. Small price to pay and was tearful afterwards because I was so happy to get stage one done.
Hi I have lupus and have my first vaccination and with no problems just a shame they cant vaccinate lupus
