Hello everyone,

Just popping in again to say that yesterday i had to visit A&E as toe pain worsened and the xray dept didnt have my gp's request either. They said go to A& E!.

Good news is my toe isnt fractured but acutely inflamed so rest and ibuprofen was recommended. Im using the gel and its improved already. Feel so relieved that its not a break!.

Thank you all for your wonderful support and suggestions. Keep safe and as well as possible. Xx

Hi misty, im so relieved for you that there is no fracture , did they give you any indication what triggered the inflammation? I find the voltarol 12 hr gel very effective. Rest up and hopefully it will settle soon , take care and stay safe xxx🤗🤗

Hi weathervane, thanks so much for your lovely message and for giving me the heads up about fractures. I'm so relieved and I would'nt have thought about it. Its my illness as I'm still flaring after the flu jab and it found a weak spot!. I may contact the Rheumy's as illness not settling very well. Luckily toe is much better today with Ibuprofen gel. They're kinder than the tablets.Good luck for when you have your treatment and enjoy Strictly. Keep well and safe too.

Just watched the wonderful Bill on strictly, definitely my favourite, so smooth 😀😀 . Glad you are getting a bit of relief. I know what you mean about the anti inflammatories , ive had to increase mine as hip is so painful and the omeprazole is just not enough. Im going to as about alternatives on Monday when in for infusion. Do you take omeprazole as well , i take 40 mg . Enjoy the rest of strictly, highlight of the week 💃💃💃😀😀

Hi weathervane, good luck for monday ,hope it goes well. Im lucky i do take omeprazole 20 mg and it does help.tummy. Your on a big dose and its still not enough. Its a constant juggle isnt it?. Interesting what they recommend. Im sorry your suffering with your hip and still no mri appt.

Bill and Oti are the surprise for sure of this year. I wonder if they can keep it up till the Final?.

Keep safe 🤞, and take care. Xx

I thought omeprazole is for reflux and gut issues. That's what I take it for.

Also helps gastritis.

Yes it does....I have irritable bowel syndrome(IBS) as well as everything else, and find some relief with taking omeprazole.

Accident and emergency I believe! I'm in Australia and we call it something similar. It's the place you go at the hospital in an emergency if you don't come in an ambulance.
