I was taking Ranitidine Once a day every night for 30 years! Then I was told to change to 20mg Omeprazole at night and in the morning, because it is no longer available. How long do you leave between your Omeprazole and Prednisolone? Would one night time dose of Omeprazole have the same benefit as the 300mg of Ranitidine I used to take Before? I currently take 20mg Omeprazole morning and 20mg night. Mainly, if I have to stay on this dose, how long should I leave between the 20mg Omeprazole and the 9mg Prednisolone I take in the morning?
Thank you!

One patient on my home forum was told by her rheumy to take the pred early and then the PPI an hour later - all some time before getting up for the day. Most people take the PPI 1/2 hour before breakfast and the pred with breakfast. Depends a bit when you take your pred really.
What I’m trying to work out is the number of hours between the two, because so far I’ve been leaving two hours between the two by taking the omeprazole first. But I’m useless for those two hours until I take the Pred.
found "Concomitant administration of lansoprazole or omeprazole does not affect the absorption, biotransformation, or disposition of a single dose of prednisone. "
No reason why you can't take them together according to them.
"Talk to your doctor before using mycophenolate mofetil together with omeprazole. Combining these medications may reduce the blood levels of mycophenolate mofetil. Whether this will decrease the effectiveness of mycophenolate mofetil in the treatment of your condition is unknown."
If anything it might mean you need a bit more MMF but I imagine most specialists are aware and adjust for that.
Nothing listed for cardamazepine. But it is quite difficult to say because while A might be fine with C, adding B in the middle might change things. Clinical trials never look at combinations of more than 2 drugs!
Thank you so much for looking that up. That was invaluable info. I really appreciate it. Looks like I’ll be sticking to the two hour thing now. There I was thinking about the Pred and it was the Mycophenolate that was the culprit! Haha! Thanks again. X
