So i thought I would ask everyone, isolating as we are, what foods are you eating, making, or craving. Breakfast, lunch dinner, a movie time snack. Me, I just cant get enough of warm baked soft chocolate chip cookies. MM-MM, and vanilla bean ice cream. With carrot cake. Whats on your top food or goodies list these days. OK, now I'm hungry for apple pie.. Peace, thestormy sunshine

Ooh, apple pie that sounds yummy, even better with ice cream. I have just had my breakfast, but now whilst i will be at work i will be thinking of apple pie all day or maybe blackcurrant sponge and custard, steak and jacket potato, oh dear me the list is endless. Right now i have to decide what to have for lunch ha ha
I have made โHello Kitty Cinnamon Rollsโ twice this month, matzoh ball soup, shakshouka, chocolate, dark chocolate, black chocolate, milk chocolate and coffee โ๏ธ โ๏ธโ๏ธ
D๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ
That sounds so good and sweet. May I ask, what are your hello kitty cinnamon rolls. It all works for me. I have a love for chocolate, it just doesnt love me back sometimes, LOL.. Keep on baking on, Peace, blessings thestormy sunshine
Hello Kitty Cinnamon Rolls are made using yeast, a cake mix, colored sprinkles as a dough base and then you make your cinnamon filling for the middle. My daughter found it through one of her IG accounts she follows and you can find the how to on YouTube. I will put up a post under my acct here with a picture of the first batch. I donโt think I took any of the second batch: Weโve had shortages in the stores here and when I shopped for the first time (making them for my daughterโs birthday) I couldnโt get a white cake mix so I ended up with a confetti mix and strawberry ๐. The confetti was actually a white cake mix with sprinkles in it already-Bonus!! And it was on sale too. Made a glaze icing the first batch and a coffee flavored buttercream the second.

We have baked banana bread, beetroot cake (went off piste with the recipe and threw in mixed nuts and 100% organic cocoa power - yum!) Orange cake, apple cider cake, ginger parkin and peanut butter cookies! Soda bread, white bread, whole meal bread, pizza bases all lovingly hand kneaded. (Well weโve plenty of time on our hands!) Essentially, the contents of the fruit bowl, larder and the fridge have been made into goodies! I bought an ice cream maker for a bit of fun with the kids at the start of lockdown and using cream, eggs and milk from the local farm shop down the road, we have been busy with that too! I chucked in a massive 80% dark chocolate egg into the ice cream mix and it was devine! Off piste again with a made up recipe of fresh ginger, orange zest, cinnamon and vanilla has proved to be a winner! Iโm going to have to get up now and chow down my daily bowl of porridge oats, oat milk, walnuts, local honey and banana to create a soft landing for my daily dose of steroids.....mmm ๐คI think they have something to do with all the goodie making and eating recently....notice nothing savoury in the line up above?!! Oh well silver lining and all that! Great post thestormy sunshine! ๐ซ๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ฆ๐งxx
Where r u?? I'm coming round!! ๐๐นOmg that all sounds gorgeous n I don't have a sweet tooth! ๐น๐ฝ๐ฝXx
Wow! I take it the fam' are doing the needing of all that bread etc! I made one batch of bread and it was extremely difficult... but v happy with the very worthy outcome (ie wholemeal with sunflower seeds etc). Yum. Can I come round too please! Slurp xx
Yeah - the teens get stuck into the kneading, I find it quite hard work on the hands otherwise! Wouldnโt that be fab? Everyone pile round, sit in the shade or the sun and get stuck into the very naughty ice cream, bread and cakes! Sounds like a country fete! Perhaps we could come in fancy dress and Iโll get the skittles out! We can definitely do pony rides! ๐คฃxxx
I too am coming to your house dear Horsewhisper. Me, Krazy, and the whole lot of us! We will be the spin off gang of "The Little Rascals". LOL.. Keep the o so good food vibs coming. I need some new recipe ideas, and all the replies here are tested and true. Thank you, for the yum yums peace, blessings thestormy sunshine
Creamy cheese and potato pie with tin chopped tomatoes ๐ but must have oxo cube in them or firecracker chicken served with rice with sticky toffee pudding afterwards with clotted cream or vanilla ice cream ๐๐๐
Now Iโm hungry ๐๐๐๐ป
Oh Stiff ๐ค I'm drooling!! ๐คค๐คค๐น๐ฝ๐ฝXx

Hi Storm
Having some trouble eating, but oh my the craving I have are off the chart, especially shopping on line.....just have to watch quantities, which is hard..
Today's indulgence to start with I got a shipment of locally made cheese. The cheesemakers have a large amount due to the closure of so many outlets & restaurants. I wanted to support a local producer & I got so much I can share it with friends & neighbours. It is so fresh & tasty yum yum...
I am now off to make a fluffy carrot cake.
ml
I am stopping by your place too maggielee!! Sooo good!!! peace, thestormy sunshine
That sounds so gouda-good!! You are in the right spirit to support the local! We here have so many agriculture properties, and sadly, the farmers are dumping product because they have no truk link transports, as so many chain of events changed the workforce of the "from farm to table" drive. They do give a lot out free, and sell to all local businesses, but many of the businesses are mandated closed. Food processing plants are on low push. So, we do support them here. Love the farm fresh foods. So nice you can share with neighbors and friends to! Me to, shopping on line, makes me hungry! Things just look sooo good.. Here's to all our foods, they are great!! Keep the goodies coming maggielee, be safe, shared, and well.Xxx thestormy sunshine
Our local Aldi store weโre giving away a pack of hot cross buns to every customer yesterday due to too many even after giving to charity and charity saying no more Thankyou. So much better than waste, and shows what can and should be done at anytime, but good on them ๐๐๐x
What a nice way for food store to share with their community patrenes. Did you eat them yet dear stiff? I agree, There is so much waist that could be put to good use on tables everywhere. Whats for dinner tonight stiff.LOL... keep on cooking, all my peace, love, blessingsXxx thsstormy sunshine
I did try one but sadly not for me, I didnโt realise they were rhubarb and custard hot cross buns, ๐๐ so I left them for my husband and had one of our choc chip caramel hot x buns.
Iโve not felt well so husband did dinner of beef brisket burger in sesame seed brioche bun salad and new potatoes. Hopefully tomorrow I will make my firecracker chicken with rice and choc fridge cake (thatโs my sons favourite so I will send him a photo ๐) weโre always sending each other photos of whatโs for dinner , he enjoys cooking ๐ what goodies have you been having? Iโve fancied soft warm cookie dough cookies ever since you mentioned them ๐๐
We always ask if on a desert island but could have one meal what would it be. So what would would yours be? ๐
Love and best wishes stormy sunshine ๐๐๐ค
O' stiff, you have a wonderful hubby. He cooks!! ๐คฉMine does to, but unless I am down, and out, I cook everyday.. I'm sorry you are unwell, whats going on with you dear stiff. Nice that you share dinner photos with your son, and he is a catch because he cooks too. I am surprised at how many may not cook, or where not shown how to. I our young lives, we all were taught how,. The internet has helped solved that๐, Ok, desert island, meal, mine would be jumbo shrimp with cocktail sauce, lots of them, a steak on the barbie, a tropical salad with balsamic vinegar, apricots ice cream custard with strawberries for dessert. WOW, now I am hungry again!! LOL What would yours be??? sorry about the miss spelled words, my spell check is not working for some reason, maybe its hungry? Let me know how you are doing. All my blessings, feel better love, and peace, thestormy sunshine:๐๐)
Well.... he can cook ๐จ๐ปโ๐ณ when pushed, he wouldnโt have got any otherwise ๐๐ he used to cook a lot but now very rarely and randomly though thatโs not a bad thing ๐๐ heโs not an all rounder in cooking but must admit he makes some lovely bread and Victoria sponge๐ Yes sadly theyโve removed a lot of cooking in schools with minimal taught which is a shame as many enjoy it, my daughter did 6-8 weeks of it at school and it was great as she was coming home saying can I cook dinner ๐ฅ๐ my son who is much older enjoys it, his girlfriend canโt cook and I think as he was bought up with a lot of home cooking he started himself and enjoys it, only I think heโd like to go home to a nice cooked meal after hard days graft , before the virus heโd still have dinner here a few times a week .
He cooks a nice curry ๐
๐๐ your desert island meal sounds great , I love balsamic vinegar ๐๐
Iโm not a big fish or meat eater, so mine would be a hot vegetable curry or cheese and potato pie with a lentil Dahl and a pavlova with cream or a fruit salad with ice cream ๐
I donโt know ๐คทโโ๏ธ, I get many different symptoms but when they all come together as now it just renders me pretty useless, I think the sun may have set it off, Iโm still trying to work out a cause but felt rough after sun exposure but once my dropped side of face starts to swell it I get painful headaches joint swelling, pains elbows knee ankles, toe cramps bowel urine issues, breathing probs , eye probs ear noises, swollen hands feet abdomen, nausea weird back pains and this time hot red soles of feet and hot red v on chest and nerve burning all over different areas of body and knockout fatigue. If I can push myself to be busy which I canโt always then I muddle through but after any activity I darent stop as pain and stiffness sets in .
I just donโt know what it is , daily odd symptoms I cope but when it all comes together I just struggle. The dry cough I get for weeks then goes then returns is easing now which is great ๐ but fingers hard and swollen tight again today. Itโs just all too much to be taken seriously, but it is as is.i canโt change what is to fit docs ideas and until virus over and can find a go Iโm stuck, I must admit virus makes me anxious too as I fear if I got it I donโt know without diagnosis if these wretched symptoms would put me at morerisk ๐คทโโ๏ธ My husband said when they say people affected or dying with no known per existing medical conditions does that include undiagnosed ๐คทโโ๏ธ
He asked the other day was I ok, I said no I donโt feel good ,he said no I can see that and thankfully sent me to lie down and yay cooked dinner ๐๐
Who knows ๐คทโโ๏ธ The iron folate, and 2000mcg of vit d not making noticeable difference to anything yet thatโs all my bloods ever show.
Anyway your asking is much appreciated ๐๐ itโs nice to air as we donโt talk about at home ๐๐
Nowhere near as bad as your problems so I feel bad griping but this has all been challenging and debilitating for so long, that itโs not nothing either.
Still Iโm writing to you and watching a parent and two juvenile robins in the tree , on an overcast but calm day, so still have things to be thankful for, and bloody hungry after talking of lovely foods ๐๐
Omg now the smell of smoked bacon coming from kitchen (hubby) ๐๐
Soon be blackberry picking time, so looking forward to that๐๐ป Then some nice jam and crumble ๐ though my daughter eats as many picking as we bring home ๐๐
Hope you and family doing well
Take care love and best wishes and hugs for storm ๐ค๐ค๐x
Hang on my dear stiff, As I love blackberrys too!! Sounds like you have a happy home, and that is like chicken soup, good all around. I will be making some bone broth for Storm, and our future uses here. We have nothing growing yet, and I believe you are fond of birds to? I have some sweet photos to post for you later,.... You have many symptoms that I get, and some specialists are spinning their heads at me to. I just keep writing them down for future use??? Hopefully your band of pains ,so sorry, and symptoms calm, you know blueberries are great for inflammation. I eat a cup full a day. It seems to help. Funny I pointed out 2 robins in our maple tree out to hubby this morning, a male, and female, looking directly to our kitchen window, Irrerny, a sing of friendship, and hope... Gota go ,dinner time here. Be well my friend, love, thestormy sunshine:)๐๐๐๐๐๐๐คฉ
๐๐ well it could be better but it could be worse ๐ Iโm close with my kids, Iโm enjoying having my daughter at home, missing my son but he moved out to their own place a couple of years ago and weโve never missed a day texting, and text goodnight every night ever since, even when I see him in normal times .
Ooh yes stormy, apple and blackberry crumble ๐๐๐
Yes, I have gotten a bit down, frustration and anxious a bit I guess but like you say, I just also keep documenting and photographing ๐
๐ฆ๐ฆ ๐ yes how ironic the robins are both outside our windows a true sign ๐ and you bringing some sunshine in, thatโs not coming in through the window today ๐
Thanks stormy sunshine , enjoy your dinner ๐๐๐๐๐จ๐ปโ๐ณ
Best wishes ๐คx
Hey thestorm - All that sounds extremely tasty! I have been making bread... and kimchi! The latter stores in the fridge for months so it was done with these times in mind! It' s good for the gut apparently, which I really need help with right now... I posted a pic for you so have a look! Now what I would like........ if only I could get a supermarket online slot, would be some ice cream... but doesn't do me any good any of that kind of stuff.. so probably best I stick with my lush breakkie of canteloup melon, honey, my home made granola and Rachel's coconut organic yoghurt... with a sprinkle of cinnamon. Yum-tastic. Keep safe/well...! Dx
DJK99 your brekkie sounds great! For me itโs novel for both me and husband to be home all the while. We are enjoying having time to cook healthy meals everyday and mixing up ingredients. We have a great local business who is delivering a great selection of fruit and veg to the door
The bunny pic is lovely ๐๐๐
