I am 66 this year, I have systemic lupus, high blood pressure and rheumatoid arthritis!

My doctor says I’m not on the list and just to keep a distance from other people?

Someone in here posted the calculator the drs are using to define risk. They put in a reply to my confused post. It made it clearer for me. I scored 0 so low risk. I think we still know that we are risk so need to be sensible but don’t have the added risk of chemical immune suppression.

It helps to understand their thinking.

I was diagnosed with Mixed Connective Tissue Disease which has damaged my lungsPulmonary Fibrosis.

My Rheumatology Department sent me a text with a link to a video to show me how to work out if I am high risk. I was awarded points, with three or more being high risk and should be shielding.

For me because I had two points for taking Prednisolone, one point for a Biologic (Riyuximab) and one point for chronic lung condition, making it four points so I am staying in my bedroom on my own and my husband have to use another bathroom because I have to be shielded for twelve weeks.

I wipe everything with antibacterial wipes that my husband and sons touches each day and I try not to go into the kitchen when they are about. My husband doesn't want to go to the supermarkets incase he gets the virus so we are using online shopping.

Hope this is of some help. I have a friend in hospital on a respirator right now another friend's son who worked in a bank and is very ill with it also.

Take care everyone.

God bless.

Very smart. Please see the video by Dr. Price at Cornell medical center in NY. He gives very specific advice for when family members have to go to the store or pharmacy.

Take care of yourself.

If your family does not go out for two weeks either can you not act normally?

My family goes out for a walk and back each day and I have to be shielded for twelve weeks regardless. If I was living on my own then yes I would act normal in my home because I would not be worried about anyone being the carrier that I could get the virus from.

I had read that anyone using ACE Inhibitors should be careful. If you take an ACE Inhibitor fit your high blood pressure, maybe you should speak with your physician? Just to be on the safe side? 🙏Best of luck.

Thanks for your concerns but we are keeping safe and it's me and Jesus in my room every day. Praise God for His faithfulness towards us that we don't have to fear as He is with us always. 🙏🏽
