Morning, it is snowing 😲😲

Morning all, apologies, not been well for the past 48 hours, not covid 19 you will be pleased to know, just horrendous tiredness, headaches, temperature drops which necessitate getting in bed and sleeping (35.3 degrees) and funnily enough a nose bleed each morning. I suffer from an under active thyroid, low cortisol and low ferritin all of which could be the reason for these symptoms... but on a positive note, I have woken up this morning and feel a lot stronger. Autoimmune is such a mystery isn’t it...

doesn’t take much to upset the apple cart.

As a result I haven’t really been taking any pictures so going to delve into my stash and find something to put a smile on our faces in these scary times..

Hmm, can’t upload any photos for some reason ... will try again later

Love to you all

Me xx

Probably delayed stress symptoms from your journey home.

Stress kills the immune system.

Stay warm with plenty of hot fluids. Lots of vitamin c if you have it and zinc.

Hope you feel better soon.

Thank you, I have to agree with you. I suspect my adrenaline has been fuelling me and once it starts to drop, I have nothing left. It is the norm...

thank you for the reply, it is lovely to know people understand... xx

Hey Leuann - is this from your way back from France? And nosebleed eh? No one on here has mentioned them before that I have seen - but I get them tons (like every night )if I am off my methotrexate for any reason - such as last year for a couple of times when having operations. My rheumy never said much about them, even though I queried it, but had them tons when in a bad way in my younger years ie til 10yrs old. Have you asked your clinicians what it's about? I totally get what you have been going through, poor you. I have been off and on for months like that post the sale of my old house and purchase of my new flat with soooo many issues wrong with it. Stress off the richter scale for a very long time off and on so no wonder flaring hellishly in the past 4mths. Do you do any kind of yoga or whatever to help you reduce stress? I started doing it again, everyday, a month ago as was really upset about how my gut and bod and mind was just so bad...I thought "what can I do for myself?!". So did a(in the end) 3 day fruit and water fast and then veg and then veg and fish. Plus started doing hatha yoga again (Bikram nasty person stylee). I have done it for 10yrs every day from 20 to 30 due to stress and I can say it has really helped my mindset again. Sadly, not so sure my bod is very happy with it...! But I am carrying on as best I can as seems we're damned if we do and damned if we don't on getting exercise, do you agree...? I guess it's all about doing what we feel we can, and hope we can strike a good balance between rest and keeping mobile/'agile". Good to hear you are feeling a little stronger today - and hope this continues..take it easy eh! Look forward to seeing some more pics from you. x

Hello there, thank you for this...

never suffered from nosebleeds... they are weird. Having looked at my last set of bloods my platelets were really low so it could be that.

Going as you and eating as much fruit and vegetables as I can (I am a veggie) and I am taking life very slowly for the time being.

I have just started headspace which is an app for meditation/mindfulness. I am hopeless at it but will continue to try as I think that it could really help.

Only had me sharp temperature drop today and managed to sort it out without getting into bed which is an improvement..

On a different note, I had a moorhen in the pond today, couldn’t get a picture of it sadly.

The mandarin ducks are getting cheekier and as Itype they are lining up outside!

About to go to bed for another early night, sleep is my best medicine...

Stay well my lovely

Leuann,

I agree. Things are so unpredictable.

I’m so jealous you are enjoying snow! I love watching the snow fall, but have to go to Utah and visit some of my kids in order to do so. I does fall here about every 10 years, more or less. I’m usually just a light dusting, though last time it snowed for 4 hours, was maybe 6” deep, and stayed on the ground for about 5-6 days. Pretty incredible for Southern California (except in our mountains).

Again, I’m so jealous. Enjoy the beauty and please feel better🙏.
