Spots on lips - lupus?

Just wondering if anyone else suffers cold sore like spots on their lips towards the end of a lupus flare up.

I’m being tested at the moment for possible lupus, one symptom I always seem to have is a cold sore/hard spot on my lips/mouth but always towards the end of my flare up so when it begins to get better. I get no tingling feeling or any warning signs, I just wake up with the spot.

I am currently taking prednisone so not sure if that would have something to do with it?

I have sores very similar to this which come from Herpes Simplex Virus. There is an excellent way to get rid of them, buy a small tube of zostrex cream and at the first sign of tingle apply small amount of cream and after a day or so the sore goes away! . You can also.get antiviral meds from your Dr, they work really well.too. I have Lupus and I’m allowed to use the cream. Any doubts ask your Dr.
