Hi folks, how is everyone keeping?looking for some advice and help please. I'm currently in full time employment but on paid sick leave just now through having to start dialysis. The plan is to get back to work eventually but just wondering what help I can get regarding benefits if possible. Not looking for full on payments as I know that I work but sick pay will kick in shortly and will end up having to go back to work quicker than intended. I have the council coming round today as I use the spare room for storage for dialysis equipment so every little helps. I live in Scotland if that helps.

The benefit I receive is PIP, to which I think you may be eligible.
If your local council has a Welfare Rights Officer, they can help you with this and any other benefits you may be entitled to. Here’s the Government’s PIP explanation. It says UK so it must be Scotland too!

Hi Lupiknits, unfortunately my score was below the threshold so no PiP for me. Asides from the dialysis I'm pretty much ok and will only qualify for universal credit if needed. The figure wasn't much better than nothing.
