Does anyone get a sore mouth? As my skin on face is sore and swollen my lips are cut and sore however my mouth is also extra sensitive and sore. The edges and underside of my tongue is sore and my eyes water just cleaning my teeth. Does anyone else suffer from this and what do you do to ease/treat it. I also get a funny taste in my mouth from time to time.
Thanks in advance x

I think this needs doctor or dentist advice. When my mouth was horribly dry and sore before they spotted Sjögren’s, watermelon was a temporary but wonderfully soothing few moments.
I used to get this but it has eased off since I started on hydroxychloroquine. Sometimes, sores can be caused by NSAIDs. Are you on naproxen or similar? I'd say get your dentist to have a look.
Thank you all for replying. I started on Hydroxychloroquine on Friday before it has been confirmed. The consultant rang me today to say the biopsy shows as lupus but I am still waiting for my bloods. They are confident it is the skin form of lupus and not systemic. What is NSAIDS? The edges of my tongue and underneath is red and sore but it doesn’t look to have any sores or ulcers.
Hi woods, just over a week ago I had sore gums with sensitive teeth, felt just like toothache at times, but moved across my gums!
If I tapped my teeth together they were so sensitive, it lasted about 2 week then faded off
But today as I was eating my cereal front part of my tooth fell off leaving the back of the tooth still there, it's not painful at the moment even tho theres no enamel covering it, so fingers crossed for the weekend as I dint go to the dentist till monday!
Just makes me wonder if what happened a week ago was something to do with losing my tooth!!
I've read about oral lupus, but I also suffer with dry mouth!
