Tips and Tricks NEEDED

New here, but not new to lupus. I have had it for the last 5 years and doesnt look to be getting any better. I have now found out i am pregnant so need to stop taking my tablets. Has anyone else gone through pregnancy with this?

I am also getting married in june and although i dont let my marks on my face dishearten me every day, i want to look special on my wedding day. Does anyone know a make-up brand that will cover the marks or any tips to help cover them? (Photo to show marks on face but these arent the only ones i have.)

Thank you in advance.

Congratulations on both your baby and forthcoming wedding. I use dermablend on my legs. You can get referred to the Red Cross via your gp (if it hasn't become a cutback victim) who will help you with techniques to cover blemishes. Otherwise I've found staff on make up counters helpful....

I use bare minerals make up,which is very easy to use, you can ask advice at the counter what colour products are good for your skin.

Congratulations to you x

Congratulations on both your pregnancy and upcoming wedding! Have you informed your doctor about your pregnancy? We published a booklet about lupus and pregnancy which I hope you find useful: lupusuk.org.uk/wp-content/u...

Some people with lupus have recommended bare minerals and Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation. Estee Lauder's foundation does provide full-coverage and is long-lasting. Applying the foundation with a damp sponge will give even coverage and allows you to add more foundation to certain areas once the first layer is dry. Take a look at our blog article on skin camouflage for more tips and information: lupusuk.org.uk/skin-camoufl...
