My husband and I moved from Cambridgeshire to one of the home counties south of London. In Cambs. we had excellent support through our Lupus group leaders and regular coffee mornings and information days. I now really miss this support and source of information with questions that come up. I would be willing to travel to find similar group support related to LUPUS UK .

Missing a support group
Hi Hidden ,
I think your nearest lupus support group is now probably our South London Group. They organise fantastic patient-focussed medical lectures at St George's Hospital in Tooting every two months. The next meeting is scheduled for 22nd September 2018.
If you would like more information about the group, please email Laura Sinnett (South London Regional Coordinator) at southlondonlupusuk@live.co.uk
Sorry to hear you don't have a support group like you used to. I'm in Southampton and we don't have any groups we can attend either. We do have a lupus specialist nurse attached to the hospital we can phone for support Mon - Fri. I met a friend through an online lupus site who also has lupus and lives in Swindon. She is one of my best friends now and we meet with our hubbies too every 3-6 months. Sadly the site isn't available anymore to give you the details.
Hope you sort something for support x
Hi englishrose67 ,
Are you a member of the Hampshire Lupus Support Group?
I dont think so.I've never been told about it.thank you .
Hi Paul.
A lady I know was trying to contact the Hampshire group. Is Tina Stemp still the lady? I know they are meeting on 22 sept at Twyford parish hall.
Also what does it take to set up a group in Sussex?
Hi Bacardibabe76 ,
Yes, Tina Stemp is currently still the chairperson of the Hampshire group.
Whereabouts in Sussex are you based? There is a group for people with lupus which isn't a part of the charity that meets in Brighton. Alternatively, if you are somewhere else and would be willing to help establish a group please feel free to email me at paul@lupusuk.org.uk and we can discuss it.
