(her Paternal grandmother also has lupus.. connections to autism and ASD appear to be common? Like to hear from you if you think this is correct please. Kind wishes x

Hiya, sorry to hear your daughter has been poorly. I can understand your worries and fears as coping with autism is a big challenge in itself for her and you, never mind her feeling so unwell too, life is so unfair sometimes. I have lupus and my son is 11 years old and has ASD (mild) so I know the challenges we face as a mum coping with the stresses of everyday life and a child on the spectrum. I often wonder if there is a connection between lupus, Autism & Aspergers. I have read that studies show there is a higher chance of women with lupus having a child on the autistic spectrum, so will be interested to read your replies. Hope you and your daughter has good support and she gets the treatment she needs. Not easy I know how do you explain lupus to a child with autism? Not an easy task and heartbreaking. Wishing you both well.
Hi Shann07
Thank you for your reply. My daughter is feeling nauseous tonight.. this has been happening for sometime now and we normally put it down to anxiety associated with her ASD, however I now think it is another symptom of lupus.. I’m hating this deserve already! Poor girl had enough to cope with on a daily basis. I hope your lovely son doesn’t struggle too much with his autism
Thank you for your reply
Kind wishes Gail
