Hi. Anyone broken bones without injury? In Early February I woke with a very sore wrist and something protruding from it. Went to my GP as I was not allowed at A&E as I had not had an accident! 2 weeks later I was xrayed and 2 weeks again I waited to be told I had broken my wrist but it had started to heal so I didn't need any care. 9 weeks on I am in agony and still have a lump in my wrist. .Picture not very clear but you can see a wee lump. GP is now sending me for a bone scan as he thinks it may be to do with my Methotrexate! I am so scared it is something else I will have to contend with ongoing.
Anyone else had experience of this?
I was recently made redundant and I am trying to find work but I am not fit to do so. The future is very unclear right now.

Thank you anothermember. . That was useful but doesn't really help only that the Mtx may be affecting the healing. My GP seems to think it could be causing something to be wrong with my bone which caused it to break. Hopefully the scan will be soon and may have some answers.
I would think you may just need some physio....wrists often stiffen up after a simultaneous fracture like that,
Don't worry too much ..try a wrist support ....you can find lots on Amazon.I'm sure if you needed an orthopaedic appointment your GP would have arranged it,
Keep occupied updating your CV & don't rush into anything until you get the result of your bone scan.
GP has ordered a priority Orthopaedic appointment too. And I have to self refer for physio. I have had a wrist support on since first broken and I am applying for jobs.
Just don't overdo it Nicky. I know you must really want to get back to work - and a salary, but when you get a job you'll need to be on top form.....so get the referral forms for some physio.....it really could help you.
Thank you. I received a redundancy payment so I am alright for money for a wee while. I am only applying for jobs I don't want to miss out on. Job Centre have mentioned I could go on to employment Support allowance if this were to be a long term issue but I have family, house and a car to pay for so I need to work.
If you have a wee bit of money- pay for one appt at the osteopath- they can tell you what it is fast and suggest help. You can then stop worrying and still attend NHS appts. Worth the money for quick result. Mine eased the bone back in place. Good luck
