I'm shaking, this is the moment I've been dreading for a long time. My pip letter has come, I feel I have no chance of getting it, I work 9 hours a week so I feel that will count against me. I'm in a complete panic, I don't know how they will possibly award me pip, I've heard too many awful stories

Pip
I can only give you words of encouragement, Pip. You speak of pip in your note above, but I never heard of that. If it is some kind of insurance, then 9 hours a week shouldn't stop it from working for you. Who can live on 9 hours a week? I wish the best for you. Take care.
All I can say is take heart and do your best. Remember working is not a disqualification for obtaining pip, its designed to help disabled people get around and stay in work.
Get help from citizens advise if you can and if you fail at the first hurdle appeal. They put me through hell and high water with esa. I appealed and was placed in the support group.
All the best.
Hi working shouldn't go against you but make sure you stress everything that's bad. Don't sugarcoat it. Take your bad days and stress them. Don't go to assessment alone as it counts against you. This may help you write the form too:

Go through that table and decide where you think u are and argue it from there ie I need prompting to cook as some days I'm so tired or in so much pain I just can't cook... give examples if you burn food or forget to eat ... if I can help at all or you have any questions feel free to message. If you don't get the benefit then ask for a reconsideration as most folk get it from this...
Good luck!
Hi try not to worry there is a website called benefits and work and it actually gives you tips for attending your PIP assessment. They advise what paperwork you should take and to take a representative with you or someone who can support you . This website has template appeal forms how to fill out mandatory reconsiderations what paperwork to take and how to conduct yourself at these awful stressful tribunals. Most of the feedback is good they will just ask how your Disability affects you on a daily basis and I think if you are just total honest explaining how debilitating your health conditions are I have read they are genuine in their response !
I hope this helps you
Good Luck I wish you all the very best
