Woke up this morning feeling okay, but this afternoon I start to feel so sick. Light headed, bloated, muscles pain, heartburn and tremors everywhere in my body. Is this normal?😭😫 I am currently taking hydroxychloroquine, steroids and immunesopressant plus lansoprazole for silent reflux and nortriptyline.

Feeling so weird.
Did you eat something different? I find that I will have a strange "allergic reaction" to a food (that i'm not allergic to) and get those symptoms. It seems to get better after I sleep.
Hi Tulipano,
Have you spoken to your GP or rheumatologist about this?
Certain medication such as hydroxychloroquine can have side effects that can cause stomach upset and nausea; according to The Lupus Encyclopedia, taking hydroxychloroquine with food can help decrease this side effect. If you have recently been put on hydroxychloroquine, it is worth noting that it can take up to six months for it to exert its full effects.

90% to 95% of people with lupus will experience muscle and/or joint pain. We published an article on our blog about pain management which contains helpful tips and information which you can read here: lupusuk.org.uk/pain-managem...
It is important to bear in mind that lupus presents differently in everybody therefore, it is unlikely for two people to share the exact same experience. It is possible for people to experience periods of remission where their lupus is controlled and they feel relatively better; reducing the signs of their symptoms.
According to The Lupus Encyclopedia, one of the many ways that heartburn can occur is due to ‘dry mouth’. Dry mouth can cause gastroesophageal reflux problems to worsen, thus causing heartburn and chest pains. It is advised review your reflux medication with your doctor as your dosage may need to be adjusted or changed.
Please let us know how you get on, wishing you all the best.
