Another drug

Hi has anyone been on drapsone Dr wants to try this one he said don't worry about side affects but the last drug belimumb I had caused damage to my throat so now can't talk or eat properly. I seem to get all the side affects with these drugs very worried about try yet another with these side affects. X

Sorry to here this but I know how you feal you take one drug to ease one thing but it causes something else ! I know it's not easy it's a proses of elimination hope the next drug suits you

Thanks I've gone through all the drugs my rhemy Dr can suggest so asked advice from dermatology again as the last drug caused the throat problems now have to see ent as they concerned my wind pipe has got so narrow it's at a dangerous level .x

Hi, is it dapsone ? My partner was put on a trial of 50mg for 4 months, the first month he was fine & had no flares of his disease but for the next 3 months he started suffering with stomach pains, bloating etc, but the main concern was his Liver, he's now waiting to see a liver specialist & Gastroenterologist. His liver levels were extremely high & still are. He was fine before dapsone.. so please just be carful. & if you notice any unusual side effects please report it to your doctor. Hope you feel better soon. X

Thanks yes it was dapsone. I've had high liver problems before on other drugs so was stopped if I do take it I will be very careful .Hope your husband gets seen soon and they sort it out .x

Thank you Hun & ditto hope it works well for you. Sorry to hear about your liver problems. Can I ask please what investigations did you have for your liver ? It's all new to us so he's quite concerned. He's due for a CT scan & ultrasound. Plus Doppler. X

Hi blood tests scans the usual thing but once off the drugs it started to go back to normal range so hopefully same for you x
