I get patches of skin which are super sensitive. They vary in size, come and go and move about day to day. At worst I feel stabbing nerve type pains. I don’t think my consultant thinks it is Lupus related but I am convinced it is. Does anyone recognise this symptom?

Sensitive skin
Hi Marley, I too get patches of sensitive skin which vary in size and location. Sometimes I'm very conscious of my clothes touching my skin. I also sometimes feel like a patch of skin is wet when it's not. I don't usually get the stabbing nerve pain you describe though. Sounds painful.
Do you have Discoid Lupus? I do, and my skin is now very weird - try to get someone to look at it. Good luck
It is part of this awful autoimmune illness - my skin has discoloured, dried beyond imagination and falls off like scales ! My legs and arms - are awful. My face I have got under better control by just using Nivea! Diprobase was prescribed but didn't suit me - you can try it first at chemist to see if it helps. My skin itches when we have warm weather. I have patches of eczema but Docs just dismiss me - only my Medicinal Herbalist (private) has helped - NHS have just fobbed me off . I have odd patches like flat warts and lumps ! We could all write a book on lack of understanding and help. Keep fighting for a Dermatologist!
