"ONLY" Lupus

When I found out I had Lupus I said..But I'm too old!! I am 62. I started this journey this past August (Terrible Rash..had biopsy and ana panel))...My test said yes to Lupus...maybe Discoid..I am not sure yet...BUT my Rheumy decided to test me for Dermatamyositis(sp?)...kind of freaked me out...I already had breast Cancer on 2005 and skin cancer in 2014...Dermatamyositis puts one in a higher risk for cancer..goodness No!! I do NOT want any more cancer!!...anyhow after a lost blood test, and having to do another Blood test for DM, ...FINALLY a month later my DM tests came back NEGATIVE, all 11 markers...Strange to feel LUCKY to "ONLY" having Lupus...I am grateful for it though xoxox

Hi, cancer could be the cause of Dermatomysitis. If it is the case, treat cancer can help for DM.

Yes, I do know that...Thankfully I tested NEGATIVE for all the DM markers xo
