I think myself lucky to have an attentive rheumi team. I can ring and leave a message for the specialist nurses / consult or email them (handy if I've got significant changes I can photo), and within 3 working days they get back with feedback.
On this occasion they are recommending depo-medrone 120mg im. I'm willing to give it a whirl.

If you are one of the lucky ones Depomedrone can last up to 10/12 weeks. I find them very helpful.
I have always praised the rheumy nurses & their help line, but I called mine on 2nd Septemer (13th today) & still no email reply....I usually get a reply within 48 hrs. But they now have a non nurse answering their help line who couldn't understand the simple query I had...so I wonder if it went in the bin?
But as we all know anything to do with R/Lupus ...the staff are so overworked maybe my query will eventually get a reply!
Depo-medrone inj is booked for the 28th, but in the meantime my bloods done on Monday have shown that I am B-12 & folate deficient.
This means more medication! I don't think this exacerbation is going to settle quickly. I've had several intensification of treatments over the past few months, and while there has been some improvement, I think the disease is stubbornly still active 🙁
