I have had a dry cough for weeks now. It's really really irritating. Doesn't keep me up at night, or not that I've noticed. But it does make me cough violently and sometimes wretch when it does come on. Today I am feeling a little wheezy too. Could this be hey fever / sinus related? Or linked to immune suppression medication? Another consideration is my darling husband has a terrible cold and may have passed his germs to me, but I've had this cough much longer than he's had his cold. I'm guessing you're all going to say, go to the doctors and get it checked out. Just sometimes feels like you're there so much! Was there last week to see my fav GP and discuss moving my treatment plan forward. Bloods tomorrow morning anyway, so I'll see if they can fit me in. 😬

Do you have reflux? That certainly can cause those symptoms with a wheeze too. Best to see the gp as you intend to just to make sure not anything serious
Didn't think of reflux. Just googled it and it says symptoms are feeling or being sick, acid reflux, heartburn, difficulty swallowing etc. None of those symptoms fit. I just have a long standing, very dry cough and am now weezy. Thanks for replying and suggesting it. It's not always obvious.
I was going to ask about reflux, but clearly not! I hope you find a cause Wendy x
Not necessarily relevant to you of course but wanted to point out that can have reflux silently ie no symptoms apart from a dry cough or swallowing or nothing at all until it finally shows. webmd.com/heartburn-gerd/gu...
Interesting. I'll have a look. X
Is it dry mouth/throat ? Are you experiencing a secondary autoimmune, I wonder? Or back to an underlying cold...ml
No luck today. No appointments left by the time I got there from the school run, for my bloods at 9.20am. Try again another day. x
