This is so strange but I have noticed my symptoms and pain/flares get SO much worse around a new or Full moon, last night was a supermoon and I am in a laid up flare/pain today - I have Lupus/sjogren's/Hughes.
Is this just me?

Doctors would say it is coincidence - paramedics would agree the full moon makes a major difference to their work!!! Don't know if anyone has ever studied it though.
Hi. I have lupus too, i suffer mass hair loss and i am only 10% away from constant body ache. I just read your post. It is interesting and i have read some articles about it. I belive it strongly.
I dont know if you have religious believes or not. But i grow up in a low medium religious muslim family. And we believe this statement.
It is related to the position of the earth and moon, when night falls and day begins. When sea water goes down at certain time and it comes back again. It is said don't drink water (liquid) standing up after sun set , because it inteferes with the digestion. It may sound stupid but i trust ancient and islamic traditional medical points.
I hope you feel better every day. Good luck.
Many of us find this - doctors don't have a clue who say it is coincidence.
Full moon is detoxing time when the body clears out - why do women have periods around full moon? I don't suppose doctors can answer that either - they are too far from nature and disconnected to the bodies of patients they treat - not all just the ones who say it is a coincidence.
Yes, studies have been carried out and there are more accidents and violent incidents around full moon. I will give you an example of my own experience of this.
When I was teaching I took a class of a colleague while he had to the day off for an appointment - before he went he said watch out for Sean - it's full moon.
I thought he was joking as I knew little of it all then - I hadn't been seriously ill or near death.
Anyway, I was in the classroom and children were waiting to have their work marked and discussed - year 10 - and out of the blue Sean came up and kicked me in the shin.
The children said you have to watch Sean at full moon, Miss, he is always like that.
I marched him to the Head's room and she confirmed that it was a known fact and it was always at full moon.
Whilst I was recovering from serious illness, I read about the studies and it explained to me why I feel so tired and bad at full moon, however, I have learnt to eat less - especially little protein around that time and allow my body to use it wisely to detox. We can feel really tired when the body is trying to detox and I drink more water. We are all so toxic these days especially we with the immune system problems, but remember the body is always trying to heal itself - drugs though may help some just intoxicate the body more, so more work for the body to rid itself.
The time around a full moon can be a very odd time for me. Interesting also to read some of the comments to your post; I had a friend who worked in residential institutions with disturbed and abused children for years and she told me that staff were always prepared for strange or aggressive behaviours around full moon - sometimes it was total mayhem.
The full moon certainly affects me. My husband first spotted it when taking the dog out - he'd noticed that when I was having a particularly difficult time there was a full moon. I did mention it to my GP once but after the look I got wished I hadn't!
I had a general search on the effects of the moon on all Health Unlocked groups and there are SO many posts on how it effects people - Interestingly I have Hughes/Sticky blood and people mention its effects on there......It makes sense totally that it would effect that and I know the last one was a 'Supermoon' so perhaps its effects were greater
