Had a lesson after work today. Went on a sort of dual carriage way thing where you go 70. I don't even like doing 40 lol . So that was something a bit different. Went on a ring road and some roundabouts.
Got to work on looking in my mirrors. The driving instructor says see a sign look in your mirror. So got to start doing that.

Thanks . He said to me do I feel like I am improving . I said I dunno . He said that I am . My problem is I don't really have a lot of faith in myself when it comes to doing things .
You are a fighter and you keep on trying bless you. I really admire you.
Look how much you have done for yourself up to now.
Have faith in yourself, you deserve it ,You need to get some pracrice in between lessons.Do you do this ? Do you have access to a car in between lessons?
That way it keeps the cost down.I dont know how much lessons are these days but I imagine they are not cheap. Also what you have learnt in your last lesson you are practicing to get the best of it.
Autoimmune disease restricts freedom. Driving gives you freedom, so stick with it. Embrace each difficult aspect and problem solve it. Some people need more time than others to build confidence, so don't underestimate your ability and be proud of every lesson that you achieve a new skill. Keep going . You can do this.
You'll get there, remain positive, remember MSM, mirror signal manoeuvre and look at the signs. I have just retaken my driving test after 45 years due to my condition, I took 5 lessons and I was amazed that I passed, the assessor told me I was a good driver.
Remember that are looking at safety as the main thing. Keep positive and try and be confident and try and practice in between lessons.
My mother learnt to drive at 66, she was finding it hard but passed on her fourth test, she found a better instructor who was more sympathetic. Her motivation was to take my sister to work as she had MS, she took her every day for nearly 20 years.
Go LouLamb! 70mph. Brilliant! You've had great messages of support so I don't need to add much. But please believe in yourself! I think the one thing I would tell my younger self would be believe in yourself and have confidence in yourself. You are as good as everyone else. I love reading your posts and following your progress with driving, your job and your college courses. You are young and have so much ahead of you. We're proud of you. Driving will give you freedom and independence - for life. X
You'll soon be reaching the final chapter and putting on the P plates. Best wishes Kevin
Every time change gear check mirrors plus let them see using door mirrors
Took my friends wife for a lesson showed her a few tricks like nearside mirror i set so can just see near side rear wheel in bottom of mirror so can see corner when reversing round corner/into a space and just see side of car when sitting in seat right that way can see further out to side still so nothing sneaks up on you!
we was out in evening so dark got her reversing round a corner so get all the wheel on then take off quickly as come round then carried along going round further as parking spaces behind road we'd been in so like a double left so stopped in space i said ok but your 3 1/2 foot from kerb and skew whiff she said how do you know that your not looking she checked mm your right i said i know/feel where the car is on the road.
Showed her how to take command of a corner like going into a right hand tighter bend as approach stick to the left instead of in middle/to right of your side of road once reach apex you have all the road to use instead of a tight turn if near middle line plus if someone comes round wide you have room to keep far left to avoid them.
Plus when check mirrors glance at instruments after they like that as shows your on it keep your eyes moving not fixed in one position ahead like frozen.
